The Cottagers currently sit in 13th place on 21 points as we approach the halfway point of the campaign. Fulham lost their last Premier League match 3-0 at the Vitality against Bournemouth, extending their current losing streak to three.
Arsenal will have the chance to finish 2023 on top of the Premier League table. A win would see the Gunners leapfrog Manchester City, Aston Villa and Liverpool and , before the Reds take on Newcastle on New Year’s Day.
Mikel Arteta’s side are the firm favourites with the bookmakers to collect the three points in West London, priced at 11/20 to do so. The draw is available at 7/2, while a big home win for Marco Silva’s men is chalked-up at 17/4.
Fulham vs Arsenal Tips
For our main play on the banks of the river Thames we are backing Martin Odegaard to record Over 1.5 shots and Over 0.5 shots on target. At the time of writing this is available via the bet365 Bet Builder feature at even money (1/1).
This bet has landed in four of the Norwegians last five top-flight matches with the only outlier in that quintet being the away trip to Anfield where his side picked up a point. Last season no Arsenal player recorded more attempts on goal and with Odegaard clearing these lines more often than not over the last 18 months, we think this bet has more chance of clicking than the 50% implied probability of even money (1/1).
Fulham have looked a little flat in the final third in their last few matches and the club will be pleased to have Raul Jimenez back in the starting XI after serving his suspension after being sent off against Newcastle.
The Mexican striker has rediscovered some of his best form this season since his horrendous head injury a few years ago. Jimenez has scored 12 headers in the Premier League including one for Fulham this season. Arsenal have only kept one clean sheet in their last seven across all competitions and with Jimenez fresh and raring to go we like the look of the 18/1 for him to score a header. Other firms such as Skybet and Paddy Power take a more conservative approach at 11/1 and 12/1 so take the offering from bet365.
