Watford vs Burnley
Burnley have the chance to shoot up to the top of the Championship table on Friday afternoon, with current leaders Leeds not playing until later in the evening. A draw would be enough to temporarily send the Clarets to the summit, but Scott Parker’s side will be targeting all three points in what could be a defining moment in this season’s enthralling title race.
The form guide certainly favours Burnley. They’re unbeaten in an incredible 29 league games, a run stretching back to early November. Their away form is the best in the division, having collected 43 points from 21 matches on the road. With 14 points from their last six outings, the Clarets are the Championship’s most in-form side - and at 4/5, they look a strong bet to open up a three-point lead at the top, even if it is only for a few hours.
Watford, on the other hand, are struggling. They’ve lost 12 of their last 21 league matches, including three of the last five. Their inconsistent campaign appears to be fizzling out, and Friday’s fixture could finally extinguish any lingering hopes of a play-off place.
Prediction: Burnley To Win
Swansea vs Hull
Swansea have found their rhythm in recent weeks, following up a hard-fought 2-2 draw away to Leeds with three straight wins over Derby, Plymouth, and - impressively - a victory at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light.
This sudden surge in form has lifted the Swans clear of any relegation fears and into the top half of the table. While a late push for the play-offs looks unlikely - barring a dramatic swing in results - they’ll still be keen to maintain momentum through the final stretch. At 13/10, they look good value to notch a fourth consecutive win when they host Hull on Friday.
Hull, in contrast, are in a far more precarious position. Just two spots and three points above the drop zone, recent defeats to fellow strugglers Luton and Watford have dealt them a blow. Facing an in-form Swansea side on the road, the Tigers could be in for a tough afternoon in Wales.
Prediction: Swansea Win
Wrexham vs Bristol Rovers
Wrexham’s League One title bid may have fallen short, but they’re still in control of their push for automatic promotion. Sitting second on 82 points, the Dragons hold a narrow one-point lead over third-placed Wycombe, and Friday presents the perfect chance to strengthen their grip on that spot.
Phil Parkinson’s side welcome a Bristol Rovers team in freefall, having slumped into the relegation zone after six straight defeats.
Wrexham are unbeaten in their last six, winning four and drawing two, and they look well-placed to notch their 25th victory of the season. With momentum on their side and promotion in sight, this one has the makings of a routine home win.
Prediction: Wrexham Win
Carlisle vs Port Vale
Port Vale stormed to the top of the League Two table last weekend with a dominant 5-0 win over Bromley at Vale Park. Now holding a three-point lead heading into the final four games, they’re firmly in the driving seat in the race for promotion.
No League Two team has more wins this season than Darren Moore’s side, who’ve racked up 21 victories, including four on the bounce in recent weeks. They’ll be eager to keep that momentum going with a fifth straight win when they travel to face struggling Carlisle.
The hosts may have picked up back-to-back wins, but they’re still six points from safety with just four matches remaining. With Port Vale chasing the title, it’s hard to look past another strong showing from the league leaders.
Prediction: Port Vale Win
Colchester vs Crewe
Just eight points separate AFC Wimbledon in 5th from Crewe in 11th, setting up a riveting race for the League Two play-offs. Two teams firmly in the mix - Colchester (8th) and Crewe (11th) - go head-to-head on Friday afternoon at the Colchester Community Stadium in what could prove a pivotal clash.
I’m backing Colchester to come out on top and round off our 21/1 accumulator with Sky Bet. The U’s have been in strong form, winning seven of their last 10 league games, including six of their last eight at home. Another three points here could see Danny Cowley’s side break into the play-off places with just three matches left to play.
Crewe, by contrast, have hit a rough patch - losing three of their last four and picking up just one win in eight. Momentum is with the hosts, and they’ll be looking to capitalise.
Prediction: Colchester Win
Sky Bet AccaFreeze
Sky Bet’s AccaFreeze is a feature designed to give you more control over your accumulator bets by allowing you to lock in a leg early if things are going your way. Here's how it works:
- Place an accumulator with 5+ selections.
- If one of your selections is winning during the game, you will have the option to freeze that leg.
- Once frozen, that leg is settled as a win, no matter what happens for the rest of the match.
- Your accumulator then continues with the remaining legs as normal.
