Fiorentina vs. Basel Betting Tips: Goals galore expected in Europa Conference League semi-final

The Italian side are coming into this one as the favourites according to the betting sites, despite only recording one win in their last seven games.

Basel have won two of their last three and battled past Nice in extra time to claim their spot in this semi-final.

Regarding injuries, Fiorentina are still missing Sirigu who is not expected back for the rest of the season.

Basel could potentially be missing out on four players in Arnau Comas, Fabian Frei, Riccardo Calafriori, and Andy Pelmard.

Fiorentina come into this one as massive favourites at around the 1/3 mark which automatically leads you to think they’ll be dominating the ball and having most of the opportunities in front of goal. 

Fiorentina have two powerhouses up top with Nicolas Gonzalez and Luka Jovic, but it’s the Serbian who has been more prolific in Europe for Fiorentina this season.

Jovic has scored six goals in his Conference League campaign so far in the 10 games he has played, working out at a goal every 95 minutes - we’ll be backing him to score again against Basel at 6/4 with Paddy Power.

It’s safe to say that Fiorentina will most likely be on the scoresheet in this one with them being such heavy favourites at home.

In their last five home games in the Conference League, they’ve managed to score 12 goals which should show you how prolific they are. If they are to score more than one goal, it’d be unlucky for Luka Jovic to not be among the goals. 

Fiorentina games have been full of goals in the Europa Conference League and just by looking at their recent fixtures in the competition, you can see just that: 2-3, 1-4, 1-4, 1-0, 3-2, 0-4, 0-3.

They’ve been a very interesting team to follow this season and they’ll be hoping to put a few past Basel.

We’re expecting a thrilling clash here in Italy. Over 3.5 goals has landed in five of Fiorentina’s last six Europa League Conference games and Basel have seen the bet land in three of their last four games.
