Fantasy Football Tips: Bring in Bruno for Gameweek 3

Another round of Premier League action has given FPL managers more information as to who the best player picks are likely to be this season and with favourable fixtures for some, there are must-have players for FPL Gameweek 3. Holly Shand returns with her best selections for the next round of matches.
Gameweek 2 Review
Two out of three picks from last weekend delivered with a converted penalty rebound from Mohamed Salah and an assist for Ollie Watkins who won a penalty which was converted by Douglas Luiz. Watkins appears to have lost his position as first choice spot-kick taker for Villa having missed from the spot in pre-season.
Gameweek 2 brought my first captain blank of the season as Haaland failed to deliver at home to Newcastle United. Pervis Estupinan and Bryan Mbeumo were among the top performers in the squad for the second consecutive week as I chalked up 48 points.
Defender: Rico Henry vs Crystal Palace (H)
Brentford left-back Rico Henry has been flying under the radar as one of the best budget defender options in the game but he’s the tenth most transferred in player for Gameweek 3 seeing his ownership rise above 5% for the first time this season. He’s risen in price to £4.6 million but still represents excellent value.
He’s had an excellent start to the season with an assist already and he ranks second among defenders for expected assists on 0.86 while he’s also created two big chances. The Bees are a solid defensive outfit with one clean sheet in their first two games, having conceded just one big chance on their goal.
Midfielder: Bruno Fernandes vs Nottingham Forest (H)
Manchester United have disappointed in terms of their attacking output from an FPL perspective in their opening games but a home game against Nottingham Forest presents an excellent opportunity to improve their fortunes. Midfielder Bruno Fernandes has already seen over 100,000 transfers out but owners are urged to remain patient.
He regularly completes 90 minutes and is also on penalties, with the side unlucky not to be awarded one against Spurs last weekend. Fernandes ranks seventh for key passes with seven and second for big chances created with two. His expected assist data of 1.05 suggests attacking returns are not far away.
Forward: Nicolas Jackson vs Luton (H)
Chelsea newcomer Nicolas Jackson is still waiting for his first Premier League goal, although a home game against Luton Town in Gameweek 3 an excellent opportunity to get off the mark. Enzo Fernandez failed to convert from the penalty spot against West Ham and so Jackson could get his opportunity the next time the Blues are awarded a spot-kick.
Despite finding the back of the net, Jackson has been lively in his early performances, with six shots in the box and three big chances - only Bryan Mbeumo has had more opportunities in front of goal. Luton conceded four goals in their opening fixture against Brighton from six big chances and are a defence FPL managers should look to target.
