The last time these two sides faced off Everton came out 5-1 winners at the Amex, but a repeat is not fancied here, with The Toffees being priced as the 21/10 outsiders to collect the three points. Everton have performed much better in recent weeks with three wins across their last four matches in all competitions.
Brighton are still getting to grips with their busy schedule of having to play in European competition and as a result they have only won one of their last seven matches. The only victory in that period came against Ajax, and for those who fancy them to get the better of Saturday’s opponent, 6/5 is available with most betting sites.
Everton vs Brighton Tips
Kaoru Mitoma can be a real handful for Premier League defences and the Japanese winger has had the most shot involvements following a carry of any other player that will take to the pitch at Goodison.
Mitoma has managed three goals already in the top-flight this term and is averaging 1.8 shots per game across the 10 matches he has featured in. With seven shots on target across those, we make the boosted Even money offering (1/1), a value play here, with other firms such as William Hill taking a much more conservative approach at just 8/15.
Both teams have scored in all ten of Brighton’s matches so far in the Premier League this season and we’ll also be taking a punt on both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Evan Ferguson to score at 9/1 with Sky bet.
A large reason for the upturn in results for Everton in the last few weeks has been down to the performances of Calvert-Lewin. After years of injuries, the forward now looks to be firing on all cylinders and his turn and strike for his goal against West Ham last weekend was superb. DCL has scored four goals in nine appearances this season and can find more joy against a Brighton side who struggle to keep clean sheets.
Evan Ferguson found the net in Brighton’s most recent league outing against Fulham last weekend and is the current top scorer for the Seagulls this season. The Irishman has recorded six more shots on target than any other player in his squad since the start of the 2023/24 campaign and with plenty of goals expected on Merseyside, it would be no surprise to add to his tally of five league goals.
