England vs West Indies Second Test Match Prediction and Betting Tips: Three bets at Trent Bridge
The West Indies were bowled out for 121 and 136 in last week's innings defeat to England at Lord's and Kraigg Brathwaite's men are aiming to put on a better show in the second Test at Trent Bridge.
They no longer have to worry about England's record wicket-taker James Anderson, who retired after the first Test, although home paceman Gus Atkinson claimed 12 scalps on a dream debut.
England are the hot favourites to take a 2-0 lead in the three-match series in Nottingham, where they beat New Zealand in 2022 despite conceding 553 in the first innings of the match.

England vs West Indies Second Test Predictions
The West Indies' batting frailties meant England only needed to bat once at Lord's, racking up 371 thanks to half-centuries from Zak Crawley, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook and debutant Jamie Smith.
Wicketkeeper Smith made an explosive start to his Test career, hitting a couple of massive sixes in a classy innings of 70, but the experienced Root is a worthy favourite to top-score at Trent Bridge.
He has a superb record at the venue, scoring a first-innings 176 in his most recent appearance against New Zealand in 2022.
A year earlier Root amassed 173 runs in a draw with India and his seven first-innings Test scores in Nottingham have been 30, 154 not out, 130, 78, 16, 64 and 176.
He looked in ominous touch at Lord's, reaching 68 before being bowled by a beauty from spinner Gudakesh Motie, and he should rack up the runs at one of his favourite Test venues.
The West Indies batsmen had a tough time at Lord's but their bowlers showed glimpses of quality as spinner Motie and former captain Jason Holder picked up a couple of wickets apiece.
The tourists' standout bowler was paceman Jayden Seales, who recorded impressive figures of 4-77 from 20 overs.
Seales got rid of England opener Ben Duckett early on and returned to bowl the well-set Crawley with a brilliant yorker.
He has clearly benefited from an early-season spell with Sussex, for whom he took 24 wickets in six County Championship appearances, and he is a tempting price to pick up at least three scalps in the second Test.
There were few batting positives for the West Indies to take from Lord's, where their highest score of the match was number nine Motie's unbeaten 31 in the second innings.
However, run-scoring conditions should be better at Trent Bridge, where Nottinghamshire's last County Championship fixture against Somerset produced totals of 360, 470 and 425-2 declared.
New Zealand and England traded scores of 553 and 539 in the 2022 Nottingham Test so backing any Windies batsman to score 68 or more in their first innings looks a good bet.
Kavem Hodge (71) and Joshua Da Silva (79) impressed in the first innings of January's famous win against Australia in Brisbane.
And, before the collapses at Lord's, the Windies' highest individual first-innings scores in eight Tests since the start of 2023 were 207 not out, 70, 62, 81 not out, 47, 75, 50 and 79.
