Jarrod Bowen - 6/4
Jarrod Bowen helped send his side into the top-half of the table after scoring in the 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
The Europa Conference League winner has five caps for England and made his most recent appearance for the national side in the friendly against Australia back in October.
It has been a sensational start to the latest top-flight campaign for Bowen who seems to go from strength-to-strength under the guidance of David Moyes. The 26-year-old has already bettered his tally from last season, with an impressive eight league goals in just 12 appearances so far this term.
Bowen has also provided 16 assists for West Ham since the start of the 2021/22 season and for those looking to back him to make the 26-man squad, 6/4 is available with bet365, while Sky Bet go slightly longer at 7/4.
Cole Palmer - 2/1
“City’s boy is now Chelsea’s Man” were the words used by Peter Drury after Cole Palmer showed balls of steel to step up and make it 4-4 against Manchester City, in what will go down as one of the greatest games in Premier League history.
Chelsea have made a long list of high-profile signings over the last 18 months, with Palmer being one of the only ones to be flourishing at his new club. For a man of just 21 years of age, Palmer has an exciting arrogance about his game along with the maturity to be unphased by playing at the very highest level.
As we head into the latest international break, Palmer has scored in four of his last five league outings for Chelsea. The Blues may have not quite turned the corner yet, with further cul-de-sacs to navigate, however significant progress looks to have been made in recent weeks with Palmer playing a pivotal role.
The former Manchester City man has been rewarded with a call up to the England squad for the games against Malta and North Macedonia. Should he put in strong showings for Southgate’s side in the coming days, his odds of 2/1 to make the Euro 2024 squad, may shorten again.
Rico Lewis - 2/1
Another Manchester City academy graduate who has been named in the latest Three Lions squad is Rico Lewis. It’s been quite the career so far for the 18-year-old after joining the club at just the age of eight.
Lewis has represented England at U16, U18, U19, and U21 level before this promotion to the senior squad, and already is a treble winner after the historic escapades of Pep Guardiola’s men just a few months ago.
Being such a versatile player may be one of the key qualities that Gareth Southgate identifies as a deciding factor as to why Lewis may well be on the plane to Germany next summer. Bet365 go 2/1 that he is a feature in the 26-man Euro 2024 squad.
James Ward-Prowse - 11/4
It has been a seamless transition for James Ward-Prowse since he swapped Southampton for West Ham in the summer. In just 15 starts across all competitions for The Hammers this season, JWP has racked up nine assists and two goals, once again showing why he is one of the best crossers of the ball in the country.
Ward-Prowse last represented England back in the 2022 UEFA Nations League campaign, and has 11 caps in total. BetVictor have the current best price available on the midfielder making it to the European Championships, with odds of 3/1 implying a 25% chance of doing so.
Dominic Solanke - 33/1
This one may be a little out there, but we think there is plenty of reason to believe that Dominic Solanke could be well overpriced at 33/1 to have a seat on the plane to Germany.
A player who has potentially been starved of service over the last year or so, Solanke looks to be coming into his peak at the age of 26 and has enjoyed a strong start to the season at Bournemouth.
Solanke has already matched his Premier League goal-tally from last season, despite the campaign still having more than two thirds remaining. One of the deadliest finishers on his day, as shown at Championship level, he looks to be benefiting from Andoni Iraola’s style of play on the South Coast.
Only five players in the division have scored more top-flight goals this term and looking at the names ahead of him the betting, questions can well be asked over how injury-prone both Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Callum Wilson and Eddie Nketiah are. Here at bettingodds.com we are backing Solanke to have a huge season and clear the 15+ goal barrier for the Cherries, which could see him make a late charge for the 26-man squad.
