Christian Eriksen Next Club Odds: Interest from several Premier League clubs
Christian Eriksen has been linked with several clubs in the last few weeks with a move away from Brentford potentially on the cards this summer. Here at BettingOdds.com we’ve taken a look at his next club odds, with the prices below quoted from Paddy Power.
Manchester United 6/5
It was reported this week that Christian Eriksen turned down a contract extension with Brentford, and it’s now Manchester United who are the favourites to sign the Danish midfielder should he choose to seek a move away from West London this summer.
Eriksen has previously snubbed Manchester United when making the switch to Inter Milan in January 2020. Erik ten Hag had played down the potential move when asked in a press conference about Eriksen recently, but at 6/5 United are the favorites, with those odds implying a 45.5% chance of the transfer coming to fruition. With Paul Pogba also reportedly close to agreeing a move with Italian giants Juventus for the second time in his career, there’s more reason to think that United will look to bolster their midfield area this transfer window.
Spurs 6/4
With the 30-year-old potentially wanting to play Champions League football next season, a move to his former employers Tottenham could be another potential avenue he could choose to explore.
The Dane made 226 appearances for Spurs in his seven year spell between 2013 and 2020, scoring 51 goals. Only 15 players have made more assists in the history of the Premier League than Eriksen who currently has 66 in his career, and his services could well prove pivotal to Antonio Conte who worked with him when at Inter Milan. At the time of writing, 6/4 is available with Paddy Power on Eriksen re-signing for Tottenham before 3 September 2022.
Newcastle 12/1
As you can see there is then quite a jump in the prices, with the next shortest side being Newcastle at 12/1. Money isn’t really too much of an issue for the owners on Tyneside, however with £37m January signing Bruno Guimaraes putting in some excellent displays in the second half of the last season, this central midfield position may be one that Eddie Howe isn’t in a rush to add too.
Everton 25/1
After narrowly avoiding relegation after a disastrous campaign which started with Rafa Benitez in charge, Everton will be looking to bring in some fresh faces this summer. The Toffees may have plenty in the kitty to spend should Richarlison’s rumoured big money move away from Goodison happen in the next few months. Christian Eriksen is 25/1 to swap London for Merseyside this summer and join Everton, although we struggle to see this one happening.
Three other teams make up the market with Leicester City, Manchester City and Liverpool all being offered at 33/1. Please be aware that prices in transfer markets can be moved quite easily by relatively small bets coming in, so as ever, please gamble responsibly.
