Since the 1-0 home loss to Aston Villa, the Blues have won five, drawn one and lost just once in their last seven games in all competitions. However, their home record is one of the worst in the league as they have won just once at home so far this season against Luton, which is their only home win in the last 13 league games at Stamford Bridge dating back to last season.
As for Manchester City, they sit top of the Premier League table with 27 points after 11 games and are on a brilliant run of five consecutive wins in all competitions scoring a mammoth 17 goals in the process. They have had the better of Chelsea in recent seasons at this ground, winning on their last three visits to Stamford Bridge 1-0, 1-0 and 3-1.
On current form, it is hard to see past a Manchester City win but Chelsea’s mini revival will give them confidence going into this massive game. I have included two of my best bets in this preview below:
Team News:
- Fofana, Nkunku, Lavia, Chilwell, Chalobah & Chukweumeka are out for Chelsea while Broja is doubtful.
- Stones, De Bruyne & Sergio Gomez are out for Manchester City while Akanji is doubtful.
Chelsea vs Manchester City Tips
Bet Builder:
-
Reece James Over 1.5 tackles
-
Conor Gallagher - Over 0.5 fouls
Reece James registered three tackles against Tottenham after making his first start in the Premier League August. He will be up against the tricky Jeremy Doku, who loves to dribble past his opponents.
The last time he came up against Manchester City in the right back position was in the 2021 Champions League final, where he registered seven tackles.
As for Conor Gallagher, he is averaging the most fouls per game (1.9) for Chelsea in the Premier League this season and has committed at least one foul in 10 of his 11 league appearances this season. Combining these two selections gives us a solid betbuilder at 5/6 and we will take it as our main bet for this game.
Jeremy Doku has been sensational for Manchester City so far this season, leading the assists charts with five assists in just four league starts.
Up against a Chelsea side who have been incredibly inconsistent at home, 7/2 looks a fantastic price for him to grab his sixth assist.
We will take this as our second bet for this massive Premier League clash.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
