Chelsea vs Man City Tips
Raheem Sterling has been one of the better players for Chelsea recently and we’ll be backing him to test the goalkeeper at least once against his former club. This is a bet that has landed in both of his last two games and is the first leg of our bet builder.
With Sterling being against his old club you’d have to feel he has a point to prove and with that, I expect him to be shooting more than usual. I also do think Chelsea will perform better in this game than many are expecting. Chelsea are in decent form after a while and with them being at Stamford Bridge I don’t expect them to let City roll over them.
With that being said we’re also backing Cole Palmer to have a shot on target. Similarly to Raheem Sterling he’s against his old club and will be having a point to prove here. Palmer will also be on penalty duty so if the chance comes, you’d really fancy him to at least get the shot on target from the spot. The youngster is averaging 1.1 shots on target per 90 minutes in the Premier League this season and this will bump up our bet builder quite nicely.
On our final shots on target bet we’re backing Julian Alvarez to have a pop on goal. The City forward is currently averaging 1.2 shots on target per game in the league this season and with Man City being the favourites for this one, he should get plenty of chances to have a shot on target.
Alvarez is playing where De Bruyne normally plays and is looking solid in that position, the freedom he has just behind Haaland is actually resulting in him having a fair few attempts on goal and we’re backing him to do so against Chelsea.
And our final selection is Conor Gallagher to be carded. Adding this takes us from 5/1 all the way to 20/1. The midfielder is averaging two fouls per game for Chelsea in the Premier League and given the tricky nature of Sunday's opponents, we very well could see him get carded here.
Gallagher has committed the third most fouls in the Premier League this season. If Chelsea are under a lot of pressure don’t be surprised to see him lunge into a fair few tackles.
This will do it for our bet builder for Chelsea vs Man City, for those following along, best of luck!
