Chelsea currently sit ninth in the top-flight standings but do have as many as three games in hand over some of the sides above them. Mauricio Pochettino’s men are currently on a run of seven games without defeat in the Premier League, having not gone unbeaten for that long since all the way back in 2021.
Everton on the other hand ended a 13 game winless streak by managing a 1-0 victory against Burnley last weekend. Dominic Calvert-Lewin found the net for the second consecutive match after previously going 18 matches without scoring. The Toffees remain 16th in the table, but do have two games in hand over their relegation-threatened rivals.
The hosts are the odds-on favourites priced at 7/10 to collect the three points at Stamford Bridge. The draw can be backed at 16/5, while a win for Everton, that would see them put five points between themselves and the relegation zone, is on show at 7/2.
Chelsea vs Everton Tips
First up for Monday Night Football we are backing Cole Palmer to find the net anytime in the match at 6/5. It’s been a sensational campaign for the former Manchester City man who has laid down a serious claim to not only be in Gareth Southhgate’s England squad for the Euros, but to be included in the starting XI.
In total, the 21-year-old has managed 16 top-flight goals in just 22 starts since swapping Manchester for London. He possesses an impressive goals average of 0.72 per game, while he’s letting off 3 shots per game in the Premier League, proving himself as the main attacking threat for his side.
Chelsea have scored at least two goals in all of their last seven matches across all competitions and it would be no surprise to see another goal-heavy contest here on Monday. Palmer has scored in four of his last five games for the Blues and can find more joy against a side that have failed to shut out their opponents in four of their last five on the road.
At 9/1, we’ve also had a little tickle on Cole Palmer to score and be carded. This is a bet that has landed in three of his 22 league starts this season, however it’s worth noting that all of those have been in home matches in front of his own fans.
Only Nicolas Jackson (9) and Moises Caicedo (9) have been given more cautions in the league this season than Palmer who has seven to his name. Chelsea’s hopes of a European place are still alive somehow and backing Palmer to score and be carded could prove profitable as we look to kick off the week with a lovely 9/1 winner.
