Champions League Predictions: Gameweek 6 Picks

The final set of 2023/24 Champions League group stage fixtures have arrived, and there's still plenty to play for. We've assessed five televised matches from this week's slate and provided you with our predictions for each fixture.
Champions League Gameweek 6 Predictions
PSV vs Arsenal
- Tuesday 12th December, 5:45pm, TNT Sports 2
Expect changes for this match as both teams have already qualified for the knockout stages, with Arsenal as group winners. The Gunners are averaging three goals a game in Europe this season and should be confident of breaching a PSV defence that conceded four at the Emirates. However, the Dutch side haven't lost at home in over a year, so we'll be siding with an entertaining 2-2 draw in this dead rubber.
Jack Kitson's Prediction: PSV 2-2 Arsenal
Man United vs Bayern Munich
- Tuesday 12th December, 8pm, TNT Sports 1
Both Manchester United and Bayern Munich were humiliated in domestic action last weekend and face off in the final Champions League group game on Tuesday. United continue to concede goals at an alarming rate and will be punished by Bayern should they not address their issues at the back. The visitors may have already qualified for the knockout phase of the tournament, but I can see them coming out as winners in a high-scoring contest at Old Trafford.
Anthony Eadson's Prediction: Man United 1-3 Bayern Munich
Red Star Belgrade vs Man City
- Wednesday 13th December, 5:45pm, TNT Sports 2
After scraping past Luton to get back to winning ways, Man City face a pressure off encounter with Red Star to finish their UCL Group Stage journey. The reigning champions are already assured of top spot in Group G and can rest and rotate as they like.
With a busy domestic schedule coming up, and no Erling Haaland, Red Star Belgrade will be hopeful of an upset to potentially steal third spot and UEL football from Young Boys, but even with all the changes Pep's men should be too strong.
Billy Grimshaw's Prediction: Red Star Belgrade 0-3 Man City
Borussia Dortmund vs PSG
- Wednesday 13th December, 8pm, TNT Sports 3
Both Newcastle and Milan have got the better of PSG away from the Parc des Princes, and Signal Iduna Park is no easy place to go on match day 6, particularly with The Toon breathing down their necks to grab the second knockout place in Group F.
Dortmund were narrowly defeated by RB Leipzig at home over the weekend, but they have already secured their passage to the next stage of the competition and can suitably play their natural game without any fear of major consequences should they slip up.
Luke Hamilton's Prediction: Borussia Dortmund 1-0 PSG
Newcastle vs Milan
- Wednesday 13th December, 8pm, TNT Sports 1
Eddie Howe's side is decimated with injuries, having at least five first-team players sidelined and Tonali absent for reasons... Last time around the Magpies claimed an impressive point away from home but to stay in the competition they'll need a win. Although they've had two successive away defeats in the Premier League, this match is at home where they should be feared, having lost only 1 from 8 this season, keeping 5 clean sheets and conceding only 3.
Michael Bates' Prediction: Newcastle 1-0 Milan
