Sadio Mane has been shown 30% of Liverpool’s yellow cards in the Champions League this season with three of their ten going to the Senegal forward. The one player we like the look of at the prices to pick up a caution for the Reds is Trent Alexander-Arnold. The right-back has two yellows in the competition this season but more importantly, he will be the direct opponent of Vinicius Junior. The Real Madrid attacker is one of the quickest around and his pace caused Manchester City and Chelsea serious problems in the knockout-stages. Vinicius averages just over 2 fouls drawn per game this season and at 9/2 Trent is certainly worth some consideration in the ‘to be carded market’ 

Now let’s move on to the goalscorers and shots markets. It could be argued that Luis Diaz has potentially been the signing of the season in the Premier League after his £37m switch from Porto to Merseyside in January. The Colombian scored twice for his former employers in the Group Stage and has netted twice for Liverpool in this competition since his arrival. Across his six appearances in the Champions League for Liverpool, Diaz is averaging 5.00 shots per 90 mins and he has recorded at least one shot on target in all of his last four. For these reasons, we’ll be including him to have 1+ shot on target in our Bet Builder for the evening's proceedings. 

Karim Benzema has been the player of the tournament so far in our opinion and he can equal Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of 17 goals in a single season, by scoring a brace on Saturday. Again we’ve picked out an alternative to the obvious candidate here and like the look of Vinicius Junior to hit the target on at least one occasion. Only two players, Karim Benzema, and Iago Aspas scored more goals in La Liga this season than Vinicius with 17 and he has recorded six shots on target in his last four starts for Real Madrid.
