Burnley are in 19th place on eight points through 16 matches. The Clarets earned a point in their last top-flight outing, drawing 1-1 at The American Express Community Stadium against Brighton, but they remain in the relegation zone, five points from safety.
This will be Everton manager Sean Dyche’s first return to Turf Moor since leaving Burnley in April 2022. Despite their points deduction, The Toffees sit four points clear of the relegation zone and have been in strong form with five wins in their last seven league outings (W5 D1 L1).
Burnley vs Everton Tips
Our main play on Saturday tea-time comes from the shots on target market where we are backing Everton’s Abdoulaye Doucoure to clear the Over 0.5 line. The midfielder is the leading scoring for Everton this season having bagged on six occasions this term.
Doucoure has scored in seven of the Toffees’ last nine top-flight victories and has been relishing his more advanced role in recent weeks. When it comes to hitting the target, he has done so more than any other Everton player this season and has cleared this line in seven of his last ten starts.
Sky Bet go just 8/13 that Doucoure records a shot on target against Burnley, so we’re getting behind the much juicer offering of 10/11 that is on show with betMGM
For those looking for something at a bit more of a price we’ve also taken a lean towards Jack Harrison providing an assist in the match at 9/2 with bet365. We’ve already mentioned the excellent form Everton have shown lately and with Burnley having the worst home defensive record in the league having shipped 20 goals in eight matches, we think there’s scope for the visitors to score a few on Saturday.
No player has provided more assists for Everton this season than Harrison with three. The former Leeds man has been showing plenty of energy on the right side of midfield and with other bookmakers such as BetVictor going just 23/10 on this same selection, we think the 9/2 with bet365 looks a solid proposition.
