BTTS Tips: Goals on the menu at Elland Road

There’s plenty of football over the weekend with a full card in England’s top four leagues. After landing a 16/1 winner last weekend, our man @AnthonyEadson is on hand once again with his best both teams to score tips for Saturday’s 3pm kick-offs.
When combined into a multiple the selections pay 10/1 with bet365, however thanks to their ‘Soccer Accumulator Bonus’, should the bet go on to win, we will receive a 10% bonus, taking the 4-fold to just over 11/1.
Both teams to score tips
It’s one from each division for my both teams to score picks this weekend with the first of those coming from Elland Road as Leeds take on Newcastle. Marcelo Bielsa’s side pulled themselves nine points clear of the relegation zone after an excellent 3-2 victory away at West Ham last weekend and are now looking to make it three wins on the bounce here.
Newcastle will have been disappointed to not collect all three points against Watford last weekend but will be hopeful of getting something here against the 18th worst defence in the league based on goals conceded.
Both Leeds and Newcastle rank joint-1st with the highest both teams to score percentage in the Premier League this season. 70% of their matches have seen both teams find the net in 2021/2022 and with this in mind I’m happy to include this game in the 4-fold, especially with the Magpies scoring at least two goals in their last eight away matches at Elland Road in all competitions.
Moving down into the Championship we have two teams with hopes of reaching the play-offs in the midlands as Queens Park Rangers travel to Coventry. Mark Warburton’s side currently possess the best both teams to score ratio in the Championship when looking at away matches. A whopping 83% of their matches on the road have featured both teams scoring with their last three all being victories with a scoreline of 2-1.
Coventry are currently ninth in the Championship standings, although their home form has been a little patchy of late. The Sky Blues were victorious in their first six at home in the league this season, but since then have only won one of their last six on home turf. Only three sides in the division have seen more of their home fixtures feature BTTS this campaign and I can see it landing here on Saturday.
Wigan are one of the most in-form teams in the football pyramid at the moment having currently gone nine games unbeaten in League One. Leam Richardson’s men face Gillingham on Saturday and despite 20 places being between the sides in the table, I’m still favouring both teams scoring in this game.
The Gills lost 3-1 at home to Burton last weekend and managed 13 shots with the visitors just having seven. There’s no denying this will be a tough test for Gillingham but with Wigan having seen both teams score in their last eight league matches, I think there’s more chance of BTTS in this one than the 6/5 on offer suggests.
Rounding off the quartet this weekend is Leyton Orient against Port Vale in League Two. Just four points separate these two sides in the standings with the home side winless in their last three in all competitions. Orient have scored in their last five home matches in the league and with Port Vale having seen both teams to score land in their last six on the road, BTTS looks a wise play between these two teams.
