Many fans had expected Burnley to have a Brighton-esque impact on the Premier League this season, with swashbuckling football under Vincent Kompany with young stars leading them to a comfortable mid-table finish.
Unfortunately for the Clarets, that hasn’t quite come to fruition. Following their midweek defeat to Wolves, Kompany’s side find themselves in 19th place, and facing an uphill battle over the rest of the season to ensure safety.
They have shown moments of quality, not least last week’s 5-0 hammering of Sheffield United, but those moments have been few and far between, and they face a very tricky game this weekend in Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton side.
The Seagulls have been one of the most exciting teams to watch this season, with goals at both ends flying in week after week. They find themselves in 8th place after 15 games, with an eye still on making it back into Europe next season.
They put in a solid performance in coming from behind against Brentford in midweek, and will be keen to put a run of results together in December after a bit of a rough patch in recent weeks.
Brighton vs Burnley Tips
Incredibly, both teams to score is 15/15 in Brighton's Premier League games this season and we’re backing that 100% record to stay intact this weekend.
Before being held on Wednesday, Burnley had scored eight goals in their previous three games and have played some decent attacking football.
Brighton will leave some space in behind for Luca Koleosho and Zeki Amdouni to run into and Burnley should have enough chances to score, but Brighton should overpower them over the course of the 90 minutes.
Both of these teams like to get forward and this promises to be an exciting end-to-end game.
Both of these sides consistently go comfortably into double digits on the shot total this season, and even if Brighton pull away, they are not the kind of side to rest on their laurels and stop attacking.
Each manager wants quick passing and free flowing attacking football, which should lead to plenty of shots, with Over 26.5 Match Shots available at 5/6 with bet365.
