The Red Devils remain unbeaten in EURO 2024 qualifying, winning 71% of their matches and topping Group F by a point over Austria. Belgium have won four consecutive matches and last tasted defeat almost a year ago when surprise package Morocco defeated the then Roberto Martinez side 2-0 at World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
A single more point would be enough to ensure Serbia's passage to EURO 2024 next summer, with Montenegro needing two wins and Bulgaria to do them a favour to leapfrog the Eagles. Dragan Stojkovic's side have suffered two defeats in their last four matches to the same opposition in Hungary, who sit top of Group G, a point above and unbeaten in seven qualifiers.
Belgium vs Serbia Tips
Romelu Lukaku hasn't looked back on the scars of his past and has instead been flourishing for club and country since returning to Italy. He's netted nine goals in 14 appearances for Roma in Serie A and the Europa League this term, followed up by 11 strikes for Belgium this calendar year.
Lukaku has four in his last three matches, including a brace against Estonia, and has only failed to find the net in one of his 2023 international appearances. This hot streak is certainly no purple patch as we've seen the big centre forward hit great heights under the correct circumstances, with spells at Manchester United and Chelsea proving the exceptions to this rule.
Belgium's all-time leading scorer has 75 goals in the national shirt and with Serbia a team who've conceded at least once in each of their last six matches, big Rom can find the net again on Wednesday evening at the generous price of above even money.
Taking us from 6/5 to 6/1 is the addition of Serbia hitman Aleksandar Mitrovic to score as well as Belgium's Romelu Lukaku, with BoyleSports a market best for this double at the time of writing.
Despite fleeing the Premier League for a lucrative deal at Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League, Mitrovic is experiencing the best of both worlds. The 29-year-old has netted 15 goals in 15 appearances for his new Middle Eastern suitors, boosting this with five goals in a Serbia shirt in 2023.
All five of these international strikes have come in the Serbian's last three matches, netting a hat-trick in a 3-1 win over Lithuania before bagging a brace in a subsequent 3-1 victory against Montenegro last time out in October. Despite remaining unbeaten in their EURO 2024 qualifying campaign, Belgium have conceded three goals in their last two matches with Austria, who can be considered a similar level of opposition to that of Serbia.
