Belgium vs. Morocco Betting Tips: Back The Atlas Lions To Have Over 8 Shots

Belgium can count themselves rather fortunate to come away with all three points in their opening game of the World Cup. They managed to scrape a 1-0 victory over Canada despite being dominated for large parts of the game, with the Canadians even missing a first half penalty.  

Both Roberto Martinez and Michy Batshuayi admitted post-match that they were not good enough in their opening outing, and must improve to achieve any success in this tournament. The Red Devils next task is against a much more experienced Moroccan side, and a will all but confirm their place in the last 16.

However, real success in this tournament is certainly hard to come by for the outsiders, as failure to win here would make it just 1 win in 12 World Cup games for Walid Regragui’s side. A more cautious approach will be adopted by Morocco once again, but I would still fancy them to hit 9 shots – 5 of Belgium’s last 6 games have seen their opponents hit 9 or more shots, with the only team failing to hit 9 was Egypt in a shock 2-1 win over the Red Devils in the final warm up game before the World Cup, further highlighting the vulnerability of this Belgium side.
