Tuchel’s Bayern navigated their way past Arsenal in the quarter-finals while Ancelotti’s side knocked out the defending champions Manchester City after a thrilling penalty shootout. It has been a hugely disappointing season for the Germans so far, as their 11 year title winning streak was finally broken by Bayer Leverkusen and they were knocked out of the DFB-Pokal at the hands of minnows Saarbrucken.
However, Bayern are on a 15 game unbeaten streak at home in the Champions League and their star man Harry Kane is having a brilliant goal scoring season having already bagged a massive 42 goals in all competitions.
As for Real Madrid, they are unbeaten inside 90 minutes in their last 40 games in all competitions and have all but sealed the La Liga title as they sit 13 points clear at the top of the standings.
The 14 time Champions League winners haven’t lost a single game in this competition so far this season and will hope to continue their dominant recent record at the Allianz Arena, having beaten Bayern in each of their last three visits to their stadium.
Team News:
Upamecano, Coman, Sane, Sasha Boey, Bouna Sarr & Buchmann are out for Bayen Munich while Laimer, De Ligt & Musiala are doubtful.
Courtois, Alaba & Carvajal are out for Real Madrid while Mendy, Bellingham & Rodrygo are doubtful.
Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid Tips
Joshua Kimmich is averaging two tackles per game in the Champions League so far this season, having registered at least two tackles in eight of his ten appearances in this competitions so far. However, the main reason for picking out this selection is that he will have the task of going up against Vinicius Junior who is one of the best dribblers in the world and loves to take on his man.
As for cards, Real Madrid have picked up at least one booking in their last 14 consecutive games in all competitions and up against Bayern Munich away from home I expect them to commit cynical fouls at every opportunity as they try to bring back a respectable result back to the Bernabeu.
Finally, Bayern have scored 58% of their goals in the final 45 minutes while Real Madrid score a huge 61% of their goals in the second half so we can expect a frantic second period with both sides possessing a lot of firepower in attack.
There has been a second half goal in their last eight consecutive meetings in all competitions and I expect that trend to continue.
Harry Kane is having an immensely successful debut season for Bayern Munich scoring an astronomical 42 goals for Bayern Munich in all competitions, breaking his own personal best of 41 goals he scored for Tottenham in the 2017-18 season. He has also scored seven goals in ten appearances in the Champions League and can continue his good run of form against a Real Madrid side who have failed to keep a clean sheet in five of their last six Champions League contests.
Joshua Kimmich has picked up two bookings already in this competition this season and he could be forced into making a cynical foul on the likes of Vinicius Junior as Real Madrid look to hit Bayern Munich on the counter. Combining these two picks gives us a cracking longshot @ 11/1 and we will take that as our second bet for this game.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly
