El Derbi Madrileno, also known as the Madrid derby, offers up the first bragging rights of the season on Sunday as Atletico welcome Real to the Metropolitano Stadium.
Real's goal difference is only one greater than Atletico's, yet the two teams are separated by eight points. Both featured in the Champions League midweek and will be desperate to claim ownership of the Spanish capital by securing all three points this weekend.
Carlo Ancelotti's side have won all five of their opening La Liga matches, while Diego Simeone's men have played a game fewer, drawing once and losing 3-0 to Valencia last time out.

Atletico will be their biggest test of the new campaign, but the home side's start hasn't exactly been inspiring. They took a point back with them from Lazio in the UCL on Tuesday, but have already suffered a heavy loss to Valencia last time out in the league.
Diego Simeone's questionable form has continued from the end of last term, with Atletico now having drawn three and lost two in their last 11 stretching back to 14th May.
Ancelotti bested his adversary 2-1 in this exact fixture last season, and we fancy Real to notch another win onto their record on Sunday.
