Atlanta Falcons at Jacksonville Jaguars: Odds, Tips, Predictions and Prop Bets for NFL London

The first international game of the season is already upon us, as the Jacksonville Jaguars host the Atlanta Falcons at 2:30 PM on Sunday. The Falcons travel to London 2-1, opening the season with wins against the Panthers and Packers before falling to the in-form Lions last week. It’s been an underwhelming start for the Jaguars, who entered the season as dark horses for the Super Bowl, but they currently sit at 1-2 after losses to the Chiefs and the rebuilding Texans the last two weeks. Below, we’ll preview the matchup, review the odds, and provide our best bets and score predictions.
The Jags got rocked by the Texans in a humbling 37-17 defeat last week, which included Texans fullback Andrew Beck returning a kick-off for a touchdown. Despite that, the Jags enter this week as slight favourites over the Falcons. London has become a second home for the Jags over the past decade as Shahid Khan looks to establish their international presence, but their overall record in the UK sits at 4-5. The Jags are more talented at skill positions and have their franchise quarterback in Trevor Lawrence, whilst the Falcons still have big question marks at signal caller with Demond Ridder yet to establish himself as the guy. This is reflected in the odds, as the Jags come in as three-point favourites despite having a worse record than the Falcons.
Falcons at Jaguars Tips
Expect the Jaguars to bounce back after their disappointing divisional loss. Trevor Lawrence has had a slow start to the 2023 season, but with Calvin Ridley, Christian Kirk, and Evan Engram to find in the passing game, and Travis Etienne providing the balance on the ground, they should have too much for the Falcons. The Falcons' defence is stingy but will struggle to score 20+ points and keep pace with the Jaguars' offence even if Lawrence and company are held in check. Rookie Bijan Robinson shows great promise at running back, but the Falcons have struggled to get playmakers Drake London and Kyle Pitts involved so far through three games. Ridder has only averaged 184 passing yards a game this season, which is not enough to compete in the modern-day passing-friendly NFL.
Score Prediction:
Jaguars 31 - 20 Falcons
