Arsenal vs Aston Villa Bet Builder Tips
Arsenal have deservedly received plaudits for their defensive qualities this season. Not only do they have the best record in the league, with just 24 goals conceded, but they've kept six clean sheets in their last eight top-flight matches.
However, as Harry Kane and Bayern Munich showed in the midweek 2-2 draw at the Emirates, this Arsenal backline isn't impenetrable and will be tested on Sunday against one of the players of the season: Ollie Watkins.
Watkins has more goal involvements than any player in the Premier League, having scored 18 goals and assisted 10. Only Erling Haaland (19) has scored more, yet with Watkins just one goal behind, his Golden Boot odds of 17/2 will no doubt tempt a fair few.
Watkins is finishing the season strongly. He bagged a brace in last weekend's thrilling 3-3 draw against Brentford and followed that up with the opening goal in the mid-week win over Lille. At 10/3, I like his odds of finding the back of the net in this pivotal clash on Sunday.
In fact, I like the odds (5/6) of both teams scoring. Arsenal are the Premier League's top goalscorers (75) and have scored in 14 of their 15 league home games this season, while Aston Villa have accumulated 66 goals and have scored in 28 of their 32 matches so far this term, meaning a few goals should hopefully be on the cards at the Emirates.
The third and final segment requires John McGinn to be carded, which gives us a 14/1 Bet Builder with BoyleSports. The Villa captain has received 10 yellow cards for club and country, as well as a red in the recent 4-0 loss to Spurs. Only the suspended Douglas Luiz has picked up more yellows and committed more fouls for Villa this season than McGinn and, in a game of this magnitude, I expect the Scot to be heavily involved in the middle of the park.
