AC Milan vs Inter Milan Predictions
The third Milan derby of the season is a highlight of Sunday's Serie A programme and Inter Milan will be looking for revenge after AC Milan claimed victory in both of the first two meetings.
The Rossoneri won 2-1 in the first league contest in September, and then came from behind to win 3-2 in their Italian Super Cup clash in Saudi Arabia in early January.
Inter are having the better season overall, though, lying second in the table, three points behind Napoli with a game in hand, while AC Milan are 16 points behind their rivals in seventh place.
Inter look well set to earn their first win over their biggest rivals this season. The Nerazzurri have lost twice to AC Milan but they have been beaten only three times overall in this campaign, with the only other setback being a 1-0 Champions League loss away to Bayer Leverkusen in December.
That came through a 90th-minute goal and there were also late strikes in both of AC Milan's wins, with Matteo Gabbia pouncing in the 89th minute of the league meeting and Tammy Abraham settling the Super Cup game in the 90th.
Inter have won five of their six games since that defeat and have been in fantastic form this week, following up a 4-0 Serie A success against Lecce on Sunday with a 3-0 Champions League win at home to Monaco on Wednesday. The Ligue 1 side were reduced to 10 men after only 12 minutes of that match, but Inter were already ahead thanks to the first goal of a Lautaro Martinez hat-trick.
It has been more of a struggle for AC Milan, who have lost two of their last four games, including a 2-1 Champions League defeat to Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday.
That contest may well have taken a lot out of the players too, as they were reduced to 10 men after 39 minutes when Yunus Musah was sent off and while Inter finished fourth in the League Phase to head straight to the last 16, the Rossoneri ended up 13th after their third continental defeat and now face the play-off round.
Inter had won six straight games against their rivals before this season and Simone Inzaghi's team should be able to turn the tide on Sunday.

Lautaro Martinez has been in red-hot form for Inter with the Argentinian striker scoring seven goals in his last five appearances.
Dutch wing-back Denzel Dumfries has also been getting plenty of opportunities lately and looks a big price to get on the scoresheet on Sunday.
Dumfries has scored eight goals this season, including both goals in the Super Cup semi-final against Atalanta, and a further three in January, against Bologna, Empoli and Lecce.
Both teams have scored in eight of the last 10 Serie A meetings between the teams and Inter have not been shut out in a league game this season, so Dumfries looks capable of getting on the scoresheet in what could be an open game.
