49ers vs. Vikings Week 7 Betting: Christian McCaffrey, Kirk Cousins and George Kittle Prop Bet Tips for MNF
The San Francisco 49ers are 7-point road favourites as they travel to face the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football.
Here are three NFL prop bet picks I like for the matchup.
Prop Bet Pick: 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey Over/Under 64.5 Rushing Yards
McCaffrey is dealing with an injured oblique, which is why this rushing yardage total is so much lower than usual. However, the 49ers have such a solid record that they could choose to keep McCaffrey sidelined if needed.
The fact that he’s going to play makes me feel like the injury is not super serious and that he will get a pretty regular workload. If the 49ers get way ahead they may pull back on McCaffrey’s touches, but I expect the Vikings to hang around in this one.
McCaffrey is averaging 5.0 yards per carry this season, and while the Vikings have been good against the run this season, the 49ers are a different animal.
Prediction: Christian McCaffrey over 64.5 rushing yards
Prop Bet Pick: Vikings QB Kirk Cousins Over/Under 36.5 Pass Attempts
It’s been bombs away for Cousins this season. He has averaged 39.2 pass attempts per game and has surpassed 43 in four of his six outings.
The 49ers have a strong pass-rush and it would be great to remain balanced, especially without Justin Jefferson on the field, but I don’t see it happening.
Minnesota’s best shot at pulling this upset is by relying on Cousins to move them downfield through the air. Additionally, the Vikings will likely be trailing late, which will result in a pass-heavy game script in the fourth quarter.
Prediction: Kirk Cousins over 36.5 pass attempts
Prop Bet Pick: 49ers TE George Kittle Over/Under 49.5 Receiving Yards
It’s been a quiet year for Kittle, who has only 18 catches for 216 yards and three touchdowns in six games. The absence of Deebo Samuel could result in an uptick in opportunities, but it feels like Christian McCaffrey and Brandon Aiyuk are the clear top targets for quarterback Brock Purdy.
Kittle had just one catch for one yard on two targets last week against the Browns. The 49ers will likely make it a priority to get him more involved here, but Purdy has not looked for Kittle a bunch this season and I think that theme will continue.
Prediction: George Kittle under 49.5 receiving yards
