Next Queens Park Rangers Manager Betting Odds

QPR are managed by Marti Cifuentes who replaced Gareth Ainsworth in late October 2023.
A single draw against Leeds United in an otherwise black and white set of results has seen Queens Park Rangers struggle for consistent results. Wins against Blackburn Rovers, Derby County and defeats to Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall, Coventry City, Portsmouth, Sheffield United, West Bromwich Albion, Middlesbrough demonstate slightly erratic form.

Team Honours
Queens Park Rangers History
Early Years (1882-1946)
The club was founded in 1882, and is one of the oldest football clubs in the country, initially playing friendly matches against local sides, but in 1886, they joined the London Football Association and began playing in organised competitions. The club's first official match was played on October 14, 1882, against Harrow School.
The team's first major success came in 1907, winning the Southern League championship. The club played their home games in around 20 different grounds (a league record), before they permanently settled at their Loftus Road ground in 1917.
Post-War Era (1946-1970)
After World War II, QPR became a professional club and joined the Third Division South. In 1967, the team won the Third Division championship and gained promotion to the Second Division. The following year, QPR finished as runners-up in the Second Division and gained promotion to the top flight for the first time in their history.
First Division and European Football (1970-1996)
QPR enjoyed some of their most successful years in the 1970s and 1980s, being a regular presence in the top tier of English football. The team finished as high as fifth in the First Division in 1976 and reached the League Cup final in 1986, losing 3-0 to Oxford United. QPR also participated in a European competition for the first time in its history in 1984.
Financial Struggles and Relegation (1996-2010)
In the 1990s and early 2000s, QPR faced financial difficulties and was relegated from the top flight in 1996. The team also had to play their home matches at several different grounds due to problems with their Loftus Road stadium. In 2007, the club was taken over by a consortium led by Formula One mogul Bernie Ecclestone and billionaire Lakshmi Mittal, and they invested heavily in the team. However, QPR still faced relegation from the Championship in 2009 and narrowly avoided relegation to League One the following year.
Recent Years (2010-present)
QPR returned to the top flight in 2011 after a 15-year absence from the Premier League winning promotion as Championship Champions but was then relegated in the 2012/13 season. They returned to the Premier League in 2014, after promotion via the playoffs but were once again relegated in 2014/15. In recent years, QPR has focused on developing young talent and building a sustainable financial model. The team has also made progress in the FA Cup and the League Cup, reaching the quarter-finals of the former competition in 2019.
