Tony Mowbray
Tony Mowbray
The experienced Tony Mowbray has been around the block in football management, and took up the head coach role at Sunderland on August 30th 2022 after leaving Blackburn Rovers at the end of the 2021/22 season.
Mowbray started life with a relatively successful stint at Hibernian, where he was named Scottish Writers' Manager of the Year, before heading South of the border.
Mowbray won the Championship title with West Brom but the Baggies finished bottom of the Premier League the following year, albeit the West Brom fans still wore Mowbray face masks on the final day of the season to show their support for the manager.
He moved to Celtic but lasted less than a year and he has since headed back to England, with Middlesbrough and then Coventry, before returning to the dugout with Blackburn in February 2017.
