Steve Davis is currently the caretaker manager of Wolves.
Davis was one of the longest serving managers in England, before losing his job at Crewe in January 2017 after five years. Davis won silverware with the club and led them up to League One.
Davis returned to the dugout with Conference side Leyton Orient in July 2017, but only lasted until November.
Having made over 400 appearances during his career, Davis took up his first managerial job at Northwich Victoria in 2003, but things didn't go to plan and he eventually resigned a few months into his tenure at the non league club.
However, it wasn't long before Davis bagged another job, as player-manager at Nantwich Town, where he would gain two promotions in three seasons as well as an FA Vase victory. Davis’ five years at the club caught Crewe's eye, and in 2009 he returned to the club he had made over 100 appearances, as assistant to Gudjon Thordarson.
Davis was promoted to manager two years later following Dario Gardi's decision to step down, and has since become one of the longest-serving managers in England. During his time at Gresty Road Davis has won the Football League trophy and miraculously led Crewe up to League One.
