Frequently asked questions when betting on the French Open tennis:
When is the French Open tennis played?
The French Open is a major tennis tournament held every year at the end of May at the Stade Roland-Garros in Paris. The 2020 edition of the tournament will be held in September, however, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Unlike many tennis tournaments, the French Open is played on clay as opposed to a hard court surface or grass.
What odds is Rafael Nadal to win the French Open?
Rafael Nadal is usually favourite to win in the French Open odds as he is the best clay-surface tennis player in the world. The Spaniard is once again clear favourite to be victorious and win the tournament later this year, priced at odds of 21/20. Nadal has won the French Open the last three years (2017, 2018 & 2019) and is expected to make it a fourth should the tournament go ahead as planned in September.
Who has won the French Open tennis the most times?
Rafael Nadal has won the French Open 12 times during his career - more than any other player in the tournament's history. He claimed his first title back in 2005, and retained his crown as 'King of the Clay' in 2006, 2007 and 2008. After missing out on it to Rodger Federer in 2009, Nadal returned to his perch in 2010 and retained his title until 2014 - winning the French Open four consecutive times. The Spaniard is the current holder, winning it in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
