Wolves vs Nottingham Forest Prediction, Lineups and Odds: 9/1 double for tonight's Premier League clash
Rejuvenated Wolves will be aiming to continue their much-improved form under their new boss Vitor Pereira when they welcome high-flying Nottingham Forest to Molineux tonight, live on Sky Sports at 8pm.
Tom Winch has previewed the Premier League game and provided his best bets below, including a 9/1 double.
Wolves vs Nottingham Forest Prediction
Wolves have earned seven points from their three matches under Vitor Pereira, having managed just nine in 16 under Gary O’Neil. Pereira’s appointment has worked wonders in a short amount of time, the Portuguese boss has seen his side win at Leicester, which was followed up with a 2-0 win against Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United, then Jorgen Strand Larsen's late goal against Spurs was enough to clinch a point.
The opening half of the season was immense for Forest. Nuno Espirito Santo’s team are 3rd. Defensively, they have been excellent; only Arsenal and Liverpool have conceded fewer goals. Forest sit deep and hit you on the break, and we could see something similar against Wolves tonight.
Nottingham Forest are the betting favourites at 11/8 to claim a sixth consecutive victory. I think these odds are more than fair. Respect has to be put on Forest’s name.
Wolves will be without their best talent, Matheus Cunha, who is unavailable due to suspension. The Brazilian has scored 10 goals and registered four assists this term. His creativity, determination and final product will be a miss. Jorgen Strand Larsen has scored once in six Premier League outings. Wolves could struggle for clear-cut goal-scoring opportunities, given Forest have racked up the joint most clean sheets in the division.
I’m keen to get the visitors onside in this encounter. Forest have tasted defeat four times in the 2024/25 campaign: Man City, Arsenal, Newcastle and Fulham have taken maximum points from Nuno’s side. Each of those teams sits in the top half of the table.
Wolves are 17th and have won four times all season. They have scored in every clash here, which could be a concern, although Forest haven't conceded in three consecutive outings. Forest’s record against the bottom half is spectacular. The visitors have faced all 10 sides of the bottom half, and they’ve won nine and drawn the other. That draw did come against Wolves in August. They certainly look the stronger of the two sides here, and we shouldn’t be surprised if they claim another victory, with the visitors 1/1 on the -0.25 Asian Handicap with bet365.

I’m backing an attractive 9/1 double with Sky Bet for my next selection: Anthony Elanga To Score Or Assist & Morgan Gibbs-White To Be Booked.
The 9/1 price on offer is attractive, given the recent success rate. Anthony Elanga has performed excellently in recent weeks. The Swedish international scored in three continuous matches against Villa, Brentford and Spurs, and assisted Forest’s opening goal against Everton last time out. The 22-year-old, who is on a great run of form, is a quick and a silky dribbler, perfect for how the Tricky Trees operate. Backing Elanga to score or assist looks like a good angle to consider.
Morgan Gibbs-White has received four yellow cards this term and was sent off in their 2-2 draw with Brighton. There’s no doubting his talent on the field. He’s aggressive and isn’t afraid to put himself about. MGW was cautioned in both matches between these teams last season. There is plenty of hatred between him and the Wolves fans as the midfielder left Wolves for Forest in the summer of 2022, and he’ll be desperate to put in a match-winning performance.
Combining Elanga to provide an assist or find the back of the net with MGW to receive a card comes out as an attractive selection. Both should play a key role in this clash. The away side have a fantastic opportunity to go level on points with Arsenal in second place. It’s some season they’re having.
