Wolves v Tottenham Tips: Sharp shooter Son to shine on Sunday

The final fixture of Gameweek 15 in the Premier League is Wolves v Tottenham at Molineux on Sunday evening. We’ve got three football tips for the game which can be seen live on Sky Sports Main event at 7:15pm, with Jose Mourinho’s side looking to bounce back after two consecutive league defeats.
Raul Jimenez will miss this game after the head injury he picked up against Arsenal earlier in the month. Jonny Castro will also miss out for the hosts, while Leander Dendoncker is also a doubt. Fabio Silva is pushing for a start after scoring when coming off the bench against Burnley.
Japhet Tanganga and Giovani Lo Celso are the only injury concerns for Spurs, with the latter expected to be assessed over the weekend.
The away side has won five of the last six meetings between these two teams and Spurs are the 11/10 favourites to win the game on Sunday. The draw can be backed at 21/10 with three points for Nuno Santo’s side priced at 13/5, an implied probability of 28%.
Son Heung-Min to score anytime - 1.5pts @ 21/10 bet365
Son to score assisted by Kane, Kane to score assisted by Son - 0.25pts @ 66/1 Paddy Power
Podence & Kane 1+ shot on target, Sissoko & Moutinho to be carded - 0.25pts @ 66/1 Betfair
Only Mohamed Salah has scored more goals than Son Heung-Min in the Premier League this season and I’m fancying the Korean to add to his tally on Sunday. With eleven league goals to his name it’s been a superb start to the season for ‘Sonny’, with the 28-year-old thriving off the service of the potential player of the season so far in Harry Kane.
Eight of Son Heung-Min’s eleven goals this season have come on the road, although four of them did come in the same game at Southampton. Son’s goal conversion rate of 58% and shot accuracy of 79% are the highest of any of the top-20 scorers in the league this season and it has proved profitable to follow him in the anytime scorer market rather than the shots on target market this term. At 21/10 with bet365 I feel we are getting a decent price here on Son to score anytime, with other firms such as William Hill going considerably shorter at 6/4.
Next up I’m going for one of the most infamous selections this season in Harry Kane to score assisted by Son Heung-Min and Son Heung-Min to score assisted by Harry Kane. This pair have been phenomenal so far this term and have 20 league goals between them already this campaign.
Son has scored eight goals that have been assisted by Kane in the league with Kane having scored four assisted by Son. No other pairing has more than four goals, which tells you a lot about just how potent these two have been this season. At the time of writing this is available at 66/1 with both Betfair and Paddy Power and I’m willing to have a small play on a bet that has landed a staggering three times already this term
With it being the festive season I’ve picked out another longshot for the game that consists of Daniel Podence and Harry Kane to have a shot on target with both Moussa Sissoko and Joao Moutinho to be carded at 66/1 with Betfair.
Harry Kane is averaging considerable more shots per game for Tottenham this season than any other player in his squad with 3.9 per game. The next highest is Son with 1.8 per game which shows how trigger happy Kane can be. Also the penalty taker for Spurs, I fully expect the club captain to register at least one on target against Wolves.
Daniel Podence has registered at least one shot on target in all of his last five home league matches for Wolves. With the absence of Raul Jimenez there’s more emphasis on Neto and Podence to provide the goals and considering his recent record, the 25-year-old attacker looks a good price for another against Spurs.
The first of two players I fancy to get a booking here is Moussa Sissoko who picked up eight in total in the Premier League last season. The long-legged Frenchman has picked up two bookings in his last six games and with Paul Tienery in charge it would be no surprise to see another. The official ranks second of 19 referees to take charge this term for yellow cards, with 4.0 shown per game on average and is one of the more card happy refs.
Joao Moutinho returns from suspension after picking up a red card for two bookable offences against Aston Villa a fortnight ago. The Portuguese veteran was booked seven times last season and has already picked up two yellows and a red this term in the nine matches he has started in the Premier League.
Best of luck to anyone following the selections over the festive period. Merry Christmas and please always gamble responsibly.
