West Indies vs England T20 Prediction: Pooran to punish the English bowling attack again
West Indies vs England 4th T20 Tips
England's tour of the Caribbean continues with their 4th of five T20 games in just nine days, all to be played in Barbados. The match starts at 8.00pm on Saturday and is broadcast live on BT Sport. The series stands at 2-1 to the West Indies and we have enlisted our cricket specialist @OddsTerrier to preview this one and pick out a couple of tips for you to cast your eye over.
The West Indies took the lead in the series on Wednesday in an absolutely terrific game for the spectator. 428 runs were scored in just 40 overs but at the end England fell 20 runs short in their chase and now find themselves 2-1 down with two Twenty20 internationals to play. Ultimately, the West Indies scored too many runs via the relentless hitting of Rovman Powell (107 in just 53 balls) and a resurgent Nicholas Pooran (70). Tom Banton (73 off 39) and Phil Salt fought (57 off 24) valiantly for England in reply but they kept losing wickets at crucial points and couldn't get over the line.
Now we move onto the 4th T20I and it's one that England simply have to win to avoid yet another series loss. Salt and George Ganton will likely keep their places and a lot rests on whether Eoin Morgan is fit to return as captain after a slight pull in his thigh. Liam Livingstone will hopefully be feeling 100% again as he didn't look his usual lively self.
First up and we've got a similar bet to our last preview. Nicholas Pooran looked in terrific nick in the last T20, scoring 70 off just 43 balls, hitting four 4's in the process. Tom Banton also looked extremely impressive for the tourists, hitting 73 off just 39 , with three 4's and six 6's. We only need one boundary for each of the in form men and its 4/5 should they do so.
Next up its that man Nicholas Pooran again. He was only beaten to the top WI run scorer in the last T20 due to a magnificent bout of hitting by Rovman Powell and I like him to be top Windies scorer here. The 26-year-old Trinidadian averages 42.4 in the shortest format which is the second highest in the team behind Shai Hope(min 10 innings) and has a high score of 118. His lowest score in this series so far is 24 so he's clearly in some pretty good form.
I like the boosted price of 7/2 on him to top score here.
