Despite back-to-back draws with Brighton and Sheffield United, The Hammers remain closest to the pack of five who've already accumulated 40+ points in the division. As it stands, David Moyes' side will be playing Europa League football once more next season regardless of how their knockout path unfolds.
In Bournemouth's case, two successive defeats by 4th placed Tottenham and league leaders Liverpool has scuppered a decent run of form that The Cherries had put together. Victory on Thursday evening would only be enough to see Andoni Iraola's side climb one place in the standings, with a six-point gap having formed between themselves and 10th place.
West Ham vs Bournemouth Tips
Although deployed in a holding midfield role, Ward-Prowse's deft ability for goal contributions from set-piece situations make him a player always worthy of backing in the shots on target, goalscorer and assist markets. It's the former area which we've settled on for Thursday's game where only four of the players set to feature have registered more shots on target in the Premier League this season than JWP's tally of 11 in 20 matches.
There've only been three occasions since joining The Hammers over the summer when the 29-year-old has failed to get at least one shot off inside 90 minutes, managing this feat in 11 straight fixtures. When it comes to registering a SOT, Ward-Prowse has struck at least one in eight separate matches this term, meeting this line in two consecutive matches and in five of his last seven.
A return of six goals from 16 appearances for West Ham's Mohammed Kudus has helped add another dimension to attacking options available to David Moyes. All six of these strikes have come at the London Stadium in front of the claret and blue faithful, making it seem as though Kudus is well settled in East London. The Ghanian boasts three goals in his last three outings, and after being pictured in first team training this week following his return from AFCON duty, he'll be a welcome addition for this fight against The Cherries.
After missing the 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool, Marcos Senesi played the full 90 minutes in a rampant victory over Swansea City in the FA Cup fourth round. He's accumulated 25 fouls in 17 outings for Bournemouth, racking up a whopping five in his latest Premier League appearance against Tottenham just before the New Year.
The Argentine holds five yellows to his name having only joined the division as a summer recruit, with three of those coming in away matches for Bournemouth. In the heart of the defence, Senesi will have his work cut out for him, keeping the likes of Mohammed Kudus, Jarrod Bowen, Danny Ings and Maxwel Cornet at bay.
