West Ham vs. Silkeborg Betting Tips: Two bets for Matchday Five in the Europa Conference League

West Ham vs Silkeborg Odds
West Ham have had an enjoyable time on their European adventure over the last two seasons, and they’ll be hoping that the good spirits continue in their Europa Conference League game on Thursday night.
West Ham vs Silkeborg Tips
The Hammers have had a perfect record so far in the UECL, with four wins from four, scoring nine goals and conceding four. Up against Danish side Silkeborg IF, they’re 2/5 to win on Thursday night. The goals have been spread throughout the side so far, with seven different scorers, with five players grabbing an assist to boot. Changes are expected for the game after they secured qualification, with fringe and squad players expected to be given a chance to shine in front of the home crowd.
Silkeborg will be looking for a famous win at the London Stadium, as they currently sit two points ahead of Anderlecht in Group B. With the Belgian side facing bottom team FCSB on Thursday, Silkeborg will know that fate is in their own hands, ahead of a potential qualification decider on Matchday Six.
As always, we’ve looked ahead to the fixture, and picked out two bets that we like the look of.
Both of our bets for the game come by way of Paddy Power, and with the first, we’re looking at West Ham to receive the most cards in the game.
This bet has landed in each of The Hammers’ last two UECL fixtures, where they were shown 4 and 3 yellows, both coming against Anderlecht. The opening group game proved to also be a tense encounter, where the two sides facing off in East London were shown three a piece. There may well be a touch more urgency about Silkeborg’s play, leading to potential lacklustre defending from the home side, and at 9/4, we’ll take that as our first bet for the game.
Next up, we’re looking at the attacking wing-back Emerson to have a say in the game. Having played every minute of West Ham’s UECL campaign so far, the Italian is the only player in the Hammers’ squad to have a goal and an assist to his name in the tournament this season.
He managed an assist last time out against a good Anderlecht side, and throughout the group stage he’s fired in six shots, three of which have been on target, resulting in one goal.
With perhaps more of a license to roam with the pressure off, expect to see him pop up in and around the penalty area.
