West Ham vs. Man City Betting Tips: Kevin De Bruyne features in Super Sunday preview

West Ham vs Manchester City Odds
Live on Sky Sports, West Ham host Manchester City at the London Stadium this Sunday at 4pm. The Hammers finished 7th in the league last season for a Europa Conference League spot and will be aiming to break into the top 6 this time around. Amongst the new signings are deadly striker Gianluca Scamacca, ex-Swansea midfielder Flynn Downes and solid centre-back Nayef Aguerd. West Ham have proved to be tough opponents for Manchester City at home in recent seasons having drawn their last 3 head to head meetings against them here. Last season’s meeting here was an entertaining 2-2 draw and the Hammers will be aiming to cause another upset. Guardiola’s men have their sights set on Premier League glory once again and have strengthened heavily, adding goal-machine Erling Haaland, midfielder Kalvin Phillips & the energetic Julian Alvarez. Even though they went down 3-1 to Liverpool in the Community Shield last week, they will still be confident of starting their title defence with all 3 points. Guardiola will know West Ham can not be underestimated and he will make sure the defending Champions are up for it.
An entertaining Premier League clash awaits us and as usual, I have you covered with 2 of my best betting angles for this game included in the preview below...

West Ham possible starting lineup:

Man City possible starting lineup:

Betbuilder Selections Below:
- Over 0 goals in the 1st half for Man City
- Over 1 goals in the match for Man City
- Over 5.5 free kicks in the match for West Ham
Manchester City scored 2+ goals in their last 9 Premier League games in a row towards the end of last season and after adding Erling Haaland to an already lethal squad, they should be able get on the scoresheet at least twice against the Hammers. After losing against Liverpool in the Community Shield, I expect City to go hard from the first minute and push for a first half goal which is why I have also included City to score in the first 45 minutes of the game. Finally, Manchester City were averaging close to 10 free kicks per game against them last season and will continue fouling opponents due to their high pressing tactics. Over 5.5 freekicks for West Ham looks like a banker so I have added that to boost the odds to 4/5 and I am happy to take it with a 1pt stake as our main bet for this game.
Both teams have scored in 4 consecutive head to head meetings for these two sides. Manchester City’s defence looked shaky in the Community Shield clash against Liverpool last week and they ended up conceding 3 goals. With City’s attacking firepower, they should be a banker to get on the scoresheet and stats also heavily support West Ham to get a goal here. While all eyes will be on new signing Erling Haaland, I am backing star midfielder Kevin De Bruyne to get on the scoresheet. Having scored 15 goals last season with a goal ratio of 0.5 per game, he is one of City’s biggest attacking threats. Combining these 2 picks gives us a cracking double @ 7/2 and I am happy to stake a small 0.25pt stake on that.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
