West Ham vs. Man Utd Betting Tips: Cards expected in the capital
Live on BT Sport 1, West Ham United go up against Manchester United in the Premier League this Sunday at the London Stadium. After a lovely 11/4 winner on Thursday, Tipster Wizard has once again provided us with his best bets.
The hosts sit 15th in the league table, just four points above the relegation zone with four games left till the end of the season. Since the emphatic 4-0 away win at Bournemouth, they have lost three consecutive league games to Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Manchester City.
West Ham will be desperate for a positive result here to push themselves away from relegation.
As for the visitors, they sit in the final Champions League spot with 63 points, just four points above Liverpool with a game in hand. They arrive here in mixed form, having won just two of their last six games in all competitions so a positive result here is needed to cement their Champions League spot for next season.
They were in action on Thursday night where they conceded a 99th minute goal to lose 1-0 to Brighton so ten Hag will be hoping his side can bounce back immediately here. It was a narrow 1-0 win for Manchester United earlier this season when these two sides met at Old Trafford and another competitive game is on the cards.
Team News:
Scamacca, Kurt Zouma & Coufal are out for West Ham while Declan Rice, Soucek & Aguerd are doubtful.
Varane, Martinez, Donny van de Beek, Garnacho, Tom Heaton, McTominay & Phil Jones are out for Man United.
West Ham possible starting lineup:
Fabianski; Kehrer, Ogbonna, Aguerd, Emerson; Soucek, Rice; Bowen, Paqueta, Benrahma; Antonio
Man United possible starting lineup:
De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Shaw, Dalot; Fernandes, Casemiro, Eriksen; Antony, Rashford, Sancho
West Ham vs Man Utd Tips
- Over 0 cards in the match for West Ham
- Over 0 cards in the match for Man United
- Over 0 goals in the match for Man United
West Ham will be desperate to get a result to move away from the relegation zone which should make them commit a good few cynical fouls. They have received at least one booking in six of their last seven league games and with Manchester United’s firepower on the counter, they should comfortably pick up another card here.
As for Manchester United, they have picked up at least one booking in 16 of their 17 away games this season and we have a card-happy ref in Peter Bankes who is averaging over four cards per game this season.
Finally, West Ham have conceded nine goals in just their last three home games in the league and have looked poor defensively. The visitors have enough attacking prowess to get on the score sheet here to cement their Champions League spot. Combining these three selections gives us a solid Bet Builder @ 4/5. and I am happy to stake 1pt on that as our main bet for this game.
Following on from the main selection, I think the prices for cards in this game are generous considering how significant getting a result is for both sides as well as the referee appointment. At 11/4, I am happy to stake a small 0.25pt both teams to get Over 1 cards as our 2nd selection for this game.
