Craig Bellamy takes charge of his first game in charge of Wales on Friday 6th September when the Dragons host Turkey at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Wales failed to qualify for Euro 2024, missing out to Poland in the play-offs. This was followed by a shock draw against Gibraltar and heavy 4-0 defeat to Slovakia, which signalled the end of the Rob Page era. In his place comes former Wales captain and ex-Burnley acting head coach Craig Bellamy who signed a four-deal in July.
Bellamy has a huge task on his hands at the helm of the Cymru as he bids to make an instant impact at home to Turkey on Friday night.
Turkey reached the quarter-finals of Euro 2020 where they were defeated 2-1 by Netherlands, who came from behind to score twice in the last 20 minutes. Still, it represented a successful tournament for the Crescent-Stars who previously won both their 2022/23 Nations League group and Euro 2024 qualifying group.
Wales can be backed at 6/4 to give Bellamy three points on his debut, visiting Turkey are available at 9/5 to spoil the homecoming, while a draw is available at 11/5.
Hakan Calhanoglu To Score or Assist
Turkey's captain, Hakan Calhanoglu, presents an intriguing price at 11/5 to either score or provide an assist during the match on Friday night.
The midfield maestro is pure star quality and possesses the tools to cause Wales manager Craig Bellamy with a real headache. Last season, he netted 13 goals and contributed three assists in 32 Serie A matches, in addition to scoring in both the Champions League and the Supercoppa Italia. He also opened the scoring in the crucial Euro 2024 victory against the Czech Republic and has already scored in the current season during Inter's 2-0 triumph over Lecce.

Orkun Kokcu To Be Carded
Turkey were no strangers to yellow cards during Euro 2024 where Vincenzo Montella's players were a magnet to the referee's black book. In total they accumulated 19 yellow cards in their five games, including a staggering 11 against the Czech Republic, as well as a red card in the last-eight defeat to the Dutch.
A key culprit in their ranks is Orkun Kokcu who has been booked four times in his last seven appearances for Turkey, including in each of his last two games for the national team.
It's a similar story for club side Benfica, where he's already picked up two yellows in four games this season, while last term he was cautioned three times in his final six games.
