Wales vs Iceland Prediction, Odds and Betting Tips: Hosts backed for Nations League promotion
Wales head into Tuesday night's Nations League clash at home to Iceland looking to secure promotion to the top-tier.
Wales are currently in second spot, two points behind leaders Turkey and two points ahead of Iceland in third.
Wales vs Iceland Predictions
Wales know that if they avoid defeat they will claim second spot, but this team will be going for the win as they look to gain promotion in style, and even try and win the group.
Under Craig Bellamy they are yet to lose a game, winning two and drawing three of his opening five fixtures. A win on Tuesday could see his side win the group, should Turkey suffer defeat away to Montenegro; if Turkey draw it will come down to a number of criteria, starting with overall goal difference.
Wales have been fast-starters under Bellamy, taking the lead in three of their last four games. They have led at half-time in three of those games with the exception being the goalless draw away to Turkey.
Wales have not yet been in a losing position and have an excellent opportunity to claim promotion on Tuesday in front of a fired-up home crowd, with odds of 13/10 looking decent value for the hosts to be leading at the interval for the fourth time in six games under Bellamy.

When the teams met in Reykjavik last month they played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in which Iceland clawed their way back from two goals down to rescue a point. However, goals have not been a key theme of Wales games.
Three of their five group games have gone under 2.5 goals with each of those three games going under 1.5 goals. Their last three home games have contained one goal, which came in the 1-0 win over Montenegro in October.
Wales have won their last three home games against Iceland and have been installed as the hot 4/7 favourites to win again on Tuesday, while under 2.5 goals in the game is also odds-on at 4/6. However, if we combine these bets we get a nice price at 41/20 with BetMGM, which I think has a great chance of landing given Wales' form and the defensive strengths on home soil where they've not conceded in three games.
