In their long-term preparations for hosting duties of the 2026 World Cup, USA entertain four-time champions Germany in an international friendly at 8pm BST on Saturday.
USA sit 11th in the FIFA rankings right now having lost just one of their last 13 matches, which came via penalty shootout in the CONCACAF Gold Cup semi-final with Panama. The United States are coming off two clean sheet victories and can look forward to testing themselves against high pedigree European opposition on Saturday.
Before Julian Nagelsmann's appointment was made, Germany recorded a victory over last year's World Cup finalist France in September, proving extremely clinical in scoring two goals from three shots on target. The former Bayern Munich coach, who was relieved of his duties in March, will aim to impose his authority on the Americans this weekend, with back-to-back victories being the number one objective for his national side.
