Tottenham vs Man United Prediction and Starting Lineups: Goals on the cards in the capital

Kick-off is fast approaching in this afternoon's primetime Premier League clash between Tottenham and Manchester United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which gets under way at 4:30pm, live on Sky Sports Main Event.
Both clubs are located in the wrong half of the table, having endured thoroughly underwhelming league campaigns, however, today's clash each side with the chance to get back on track for the remainder of the season.
Read on for Tipster Wizard's match preview and predictions.
Tottenham vs Man United Predictions
Ange Postecoglu’s men are going through a disastrous season by their usual standards as they sit 14th in the league table with just 27 points after 24 games.
A huge number of injuries to their key players have derailed their season, as they were also knocked out of both the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup in the space of four days last week.
They were on a run of four consecutive losses in the Premier League before pulling off an unexpected 2-0 win against a Brentford side who are dominant at their own patch.
As for Manchester United, they are also going through one of their worst seasons historically as they sit 13th in the league table with 29 points after 24 games.
However, they are in much better form overall when compared to their opponents as they have won four of their last five games in all competitions.
They are also unbeaten in their last four consecutive away games in the Premier League and will look to extend that run when they head to a Tottenham side struggling with squad issues, specially in defensive areas.
There have been a lot of goals when these two sides have played each other in recent seasons, with three or more goals scored in four of their last five head-to-head meetings in all competitions.
The last time these two sides played at this venue, it ended 4-3 to Tottenham in the Carabao Cup quarter-final, and I am expecting another end-to-end game with a lot of goal-mouth action this time around.
Tottenham’s January arrival Kevin Danso is a very aggressive defender, averaging 2.25 fouls per game for Lens this season before joining Spurs.
He has committed a foul in 11 of his 12 appearances in Ligue 1 before his arrival in the Premier League and he also committed two fouls in his FA Cup appearance for Tottenham against Aston Villa earlier this week. With Tottenham deploying a high press, he will be forced into making cynical fouls on the break so this looks like a cracking first pick to be included in the bet builder.
Rodrigo Bentancur is averaging 1.9 tackles per game this season for Tottenham and has registered at least one tackle in 10 of his 11 Premier League starts. At home, he is averaging 2.67 tackles per game in his six league starts. He will be up against the likes of Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes so there will be plenty of opportunities to put in a tackle.
As for Son, he is averaging two shots per game in the Premier League this season and has attempted at least one shot in 18 of his 19 league starts for Tottenham so far in this campaign. In the 17 starts where he has featured for 60 minutes or more, he has a 100% record of attempting a shot, and with injuries to the likes of Solanke and Richarlison, he will be expected to play close to the full 90 minutes here.

As mentioned earlier, a match up between these two sides is the perfect recipe for goals.
Both sides are vulnerable defensively, and a draw does no one any favours, so expect an end-to-end game with a great potential of a high-scoring goal-fest.
In their last three head-to-head meetings, there have been seven, three and four goals, respectively and at 8/1, it is worth a small stake in backing both teams to hit the back of the net in both halves.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
