Tottenham vs. Chelsea Betting Tips: Back Kane to score & be carded against London rivals

It really is a Super Sunday in the footballing World, with Spurs taking on Chelsea in the Premier League, before Newcastle United face Manchester United in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
We’ve tasked our man Anthony Eadson to preview the game from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and provide us with his best bets for the occasion.
Tottenham vs Chelsea Odds
After their 2-0 win against West Ham last weekend, Spurs now sit fourth in the Premier League table and will be hoping for another three points in a London derby, this time against Graham Potter’s Chelsea. When the sides met back in August at Stamford Bridge Harry Kane bagged a 90th minute equaliser to make it 2-2, but since then the two sides have very much been moving in opposite directions.
Chelsea’s form under Graham Potter is becoming increasingly concerning. The Blues have won just two of their last 15 matches in all competitions and are now equidistant between the relegation zone and the top-four on just 31 points, 23 behind leaders Arsenal.
Tottenham vs Chelsea Tips
The first bet I’d like to highlight on Sunday comes from the player fouls market, where I’m backing Eric Dier and Harry Kane to give away Over 0.5 fouls each. I’m a little disappointed to see these prices have shortened ever so slightly throughout the week, but I still think there’s plenty of juice left in the 49/20 (3.45) available with Unibet.
We’ll start with Eric Dier. The Spurs centre-back has committed 1+ foul in all of his last five appearances in all competitions with figures of 2,2,1,1,1. With this in mind quotes of just under even money look a little too big, with other firms such as Betfair and Paddy Power going just 2/5.
No player gave away more fouls for Spurs in the Premier League last season than Harry Kane. This term Kane has been going at a similar trajectory and has cleared the Over 0.5 fouls line in seven of his last eight matches. Games between Spurs and Chelsea can often have a nice bit of niggle and I expect nothing different on Sunday.
I’ve also opted to have a little Bet Builder double on Harry Kane to both score and be carded. Unibet are best-priced on both of these selections, meaning we’ve 18/1 on offer, which in my opinion is a generous price, and here’s why.
If it was not for Erling Haaland, Harry Kane’s goal scoring form in the league this season would be being spoken about a lot more. In total, the Tottenham talisman has 17 league goals in just 24 appearances in the top-flight this term. Kane scored against Chelsea in August and at 17/10 as a single he looks a little too big against an out-of-form side.
It’s also worth noting that Harry Kane has been shown more yellow cards against Chelsea than any other opponent in his career. Kane has faced Tottenham’s West-London rivals 15 times in the top-flight and has been shown a yellow card in five of those. With that in mind, and four yellow cards in the league to his name already this campaign, 18/1 looks worth a bit of loose change on Sunday for him to find the net and his way into Stuart Attwell’s notebook.
