The Best FIFA Football Awards 2023: Nominations, Predictions, Date and How To Vote
The nominations have been revealed for the upcoming The Best FIFA Football Awards 2023, featuring the likes of Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland, Rachel Daly, Jenni Hermoso, Pep Guardiola, and Sarina Wiegman in various different categories.

What is The Best FIFA Football Awards?
Not to be confused with the Ballon d'Or, The Best FIFA Football Awards is an annual awards show that bids to "honour the most outstanding members of the world's most popular sport".
There are various different awards up for grabs for best men's and women's player, coach, and goalkeeper, along with honours for the best goal, fair play, and fans.
The 2023 show will be the eighth edition.
When is The Best FIFA Football Awards 2023?
We are still waiting for a specific date for the 2023 awards. Last year's took place in February 2023, however, the upcoming edition is likely to be before the year is out, with voting closing in October.

How can I vote at The Best FIFA Football Awards 2023?
There are four different voting categories which each contribute 25% of the overall vote:
- Media representatives vote
- National team coaches vote
- National team captains vote
- Public vote
Voting opened on Thursday 14th September and will run through until midnight CET on Friday 6th October.

Who are The Best Men's Player 2023 Nominees?
12 players have been shortlisted to win The Best Men's Player, which has previously been won by Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Roberto Lewandowsi - all twice - and Luka Modric.
Messi is in the mix to grab a record third honour in 2023, having won in 2022 following Argetina's World Cup win. This time around he'll do battle with six Man City stars - including Ilkay Gundogan, now at Barcelona - while Declan Rice is England's solitary representative.
It is important to note that players are judged on their achievements during the period from 19th December 2022 to 20th August 2023, so this doesn't include the World Cup.

A 16-strong cast are in contention for the Women's award.
There are four members of Spain's World Cup winning squad, including Jennifer Hermoso and Player of the Tournament Aitana Bonmati, plus four players from runners-up England.
Note that players are judged on their achievements from 1st August 2022 to 20th August 2023.

Treble-winner Pep Guardiola will be looking to win the award for the first time having previously finished 2nd, 3rd, and 3rd again last year.
Ange Postecoglou is another treble-winner from his time at Celtic, Simone Inzaghi led Inter Milan to the Champions League final, Luciano Spalletti inspired Napoli to a long-awaited Serie A success, while Xavi won La Liga with Barcelona.
