Switzerland v Turkey Tips: Bad tempered affair predicted in Group A closer
It’s fair to say Turkey have very much underwhelmed at the Euros so far and it would take a near miracle for them to progress, whether the manager will stick with the same side again or give the fringe players a chance remains to be seen.
Switzerland have shown phases of promise but have lacked a killer instinct going forward, they know they need to win to progress and they will be rightful favourites for this one.
Switzerland v Turkey Tips
The outright markets don’t tempt me here but the card markets certainly do. The Swiss have picked up more cards than their opponents in both matches so far, and the same goes for Turkey.
There is also a lot of history rooted in this fixture as well, we got to see things boil over at the end of Turkey's match with Wales and I can see similar happening here as they would have expected to advance from this group.
Both teams over 1.5 cards is 12/5 with Bet365 and that looks a cracking bet, I was expecting nearer a 6/4 price.
The players card market is slightly harder to navigate as Turkey could well make changes, but Yokuslu is someone I would still expect to get the nod in that defensive midfield slot
I’ve mentioned previously that Shaqiri and Embolo are both great at finding space in central attacking areas and then driving at defences and it will be down to Yokuslu to try and disrupt them as much as possible.
He’s 11/4 for a card and has 24 cards in his last 70 starts at club level so I expected a 2/1 price at best.
I’m Going to back him as a single and then chuck Xhaka in as well for a double at 16/1. He’s never shy of a card himself and if we do see any flare ups similar to what we witnessed in Turkey's last game then you can be certain Xhaka will be at the front of the queue to be involved.
