Spain Women vs. England Women Betting Tips: Best three bets as Lionesses bid for World Cup glory

Excitement and a full dose of drama await as the Lionesses bid to conjure up yet another slice of history on Sunday when they face Spain in the Women's World Cup Final.
Sydney's Stadium Australia plays host to the all-European duel, which can be viewed live on both BBC 1 and ITV 1 at 11am.
Here at BettingOdds, we've already enjoyed a handful of winning bet slips in England games so far this tournament, now we've set our sights on unearthing three more successes for Sunday's showpiece.
A year on from their historic Euro 2022 triumph, the Lionesses now have the opportunity to win the Women's World Cup for the first time ever.
Boss Sarina Wiegman has completely transformed the Lionesses since she replaced Phil Neville in 2021, accumulating a 74.5% win rate and suffering just one defeat in 38 games; a defeat she avenged on Wednesday in a pulsating, high-pressure 3-1 win over co-hosts Australia.
This result extended Wiegman's remarkable record to 29 unbeaten competitive matches in charge of England, a sequence she can extend to 30 on Sunday as she targets the World Cup trophy.
One of Wiegman's most notable victories was over Sunday's opponents Spain during last summer's European Championships, in a game in which La Roja came within six minutes of winning, only for Ella Toone to rescue England. Her dramatic late equaliser sent the quarter-final into extra-time, where Georgia Stanway proceeded to lash home a superb winner.
Since then, Spain have barely looked back, winning 17 of their last 20 matches, which includes victories over the United States, Netherlands, and most recently Sweden, who they beat 2-1 in Tuesday's semi-final.
Both Spain and England have suffered setbacks in this tournament, but their resilience and winning mentalities have shone through. While Spain suffered a shock 4-0 defeat to Japan, before bouncing back with a hat-trick of knockout stage wins, England held their nerve to overcome Nigeria in the last-16, came from behind to beat Colombia in their next game, then defeated co-hosts Australia in the semi-finals.
Sunday's Final promises to be a cracking clash which will produce a first time World Cup winner. At the time of writing, England are priced at 19/20 to lift the trophy and 19/10 to win in 90 minutes. Spain are available at 10/11 to lift the trophy and 17/10 to triumph in normal time, while a draw at the end of 90 minutes can be found at 2/1.
Spain vs England Tips
- Both Teams To Score @ 11/10 with William Hill
- Draw and BTTS @ 15/4 with BetVictor
- Lauren James Last Goalscorer @ 10/1 with bet365
Note: All bets within 90 minutes.
The first bet requires both England and Spain to find the back of the net inside 90 minutes, which appeals at 11/10 (William Hill) given the attack-minded nature of both finalists.
Spain have scored 17 goals in just six games, with BTTS landing in each of there three knockout games.
As for England, this bet has been green ticked in three of their outings so far, including in both the quarter-finals and semi-finals.
Both Spain and England have found the back of the net in six of the 11 meetings the countries, most recently in England's 2-1 win last summer.
Finals can often be cagey and low-scoring affairs, but while I feel this game definitely has the potential to go to extra-time and even to penalties, there are likely to be goals along the way.
The high-quality calibre of players on display certainly gives credence to this.
Spain have had nine different goalscorers at the tournament so far, with Aitana Bonmatí, Alba Redondo, and their all-time scorer Jennifer Hermoso each netting three goals apiece.
Similarly, Lauren Hemp, Alessia Russo, and Lauren James have each been on the scoresheet three times to date for England.
Combining both teams to score with a draw forms an attractive 15/4 fancy with Bet Victor (in 90 minutes), a bet which landed in the last encounter between the teams as well as the Euro 2022 final between England and Germany.
The big decision for Sarina Wiegman is whether to recall Lauren James who is available for selection after serving a two-match ban for the red card she received against Nigeria.
James was without question England's star performer of the group stages, scoring three goals and recording three assists. However, her moment of madness nearly cost the Lionesses in the last-16 - they eventually squeezed through on penalties after playing the whole of extra-time with 10 players.
Wiegman's call is an extremely difficult one because Ella Toone has sparkled since she stepped up to the plate in James' absence, scoring the opener against Australia, while last summer she netted a dramatic equaliser against Spain in the quarter-finals, then scored again in the Final. Toone has more than proved she is a player for the big occasion.
With that said, I just can't see Wiegman dropping Toone from the starting line-up on Sunday, however, that's not to say James won't have a part to play in the Final.
The Chelsea star will be determined to make up for seeing red against Nigeria by making an impact on the biggest stage of them all against Spain. Having a player of her skill, ability, and goalscoring threat to call upon off the bench is like stardust for Wiegman.
With three goals in four games this tournament, James can be backed at a sizeable 24/5 (William Hill) to score once again in the Final, however, given that she's likely to start on the bench I like the bigger offering of 10/1 on the 21-year-old in the Last Goalscorer market (90 minutes), which is available with bet365.
