South Africa vs. Bangladesh Betting Tips: Best bets for Tuesday's Cricket World Cup match
South Africa come into their fifth match of the Cricket World Cup, knowing that a victory would move them a huge step closer to qualification. They go head to head with a Bangladesh side that need a victory themselves to keep their hopes of making the semi-final alive.
Here at BettingOdds.com we preview the clash between South Africa and Bangladesh, and Andy Francis picks out his two best bets for the match.
South Africa vs Bangladesh Tips
South Africa overcame a poor England side with relative ease last time out, enjoying 229 run victory, a World Cup record margin. That victory enabled South Africa to put their disappointing showing against Netherlands behind them, and keep their qualification march on track.
Quinton de Kock didn’t have the best of games against England, caught for just four runs, compounding his below average showing against Netherlands, where he managed just 20 runs. Those displays shouldn’t eliminate the two stellar performances he put in against Sri Lanka and Australia though, where the top order batsman hit a century in each.
Bangladesh started the competition well, with a 6 wicket victory over Afghanistan but have disappointed in the three games since, losing out to England, New Zealand and India.
de Kock, currently priced at 13/2 to be the top batsman with Sky bet, will be pivotal to the success of the Proteas and he’ll have the extra motivation of putting those poor performances behind him.
Klaasen has the big hitting ability to get South Africa over the line and, with him doubling up as wicket keeper, he could be in with a big shout to be named man of the match against Bangladesh.
The middle-order batsman has hit seven sixes so far, most recently clearing the boundary four times against England, complimenting this with 12 fours, along with being South Africa’s highest scoring batsman in the process. He’s also been vital on the other side of the pitch too, catching three balls for wickets and, if he can put in a similar performance here, the man of the match award could be his.
This is a huge match for both sides, South Africa needing the win to avoid being drawn into a shootout to qualify and Bangladesh requiring the victory to maintain their position just outside the qualification places
