Sevilla vs. Roma Betting Tips: Best bets for the Europa League Final
Live on BT Sports, Sevilla go up against Roma in the Europa League Final at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary. We’ve got Tipster Wizard on hand with his best bets for the game.
The Spanish side have won this competition a record six times, while Roma’s manager Jose Mourinho is unbeaten in his last five continental finals.
It has been a disappointing campaign for Sevilla as far as the league is concerned, as they sit 11th in the league table with one game to go. However, with having beaten the likes of Manchester United and Juventus on their way to the final, they will be optimistic of adding a record seventh Europa League title to their cabinet and secure qualification to the Champions League next season.
As for Roma, they are aiming to win back to back European finals under Jose Mourinho after winning last season’s UEFA Conference League final against Feyenoord.
This is also a must win for them if they want to secure Champions League football next season as they can no longer achieve that through the league. The Italian side come into this final in poor form, having won just once in their last nine games in all competitions but that win came in the all important Europa League semi final against Bayer Leverkusen.
Sevilla come into the final in better form and possess more quality in the attacking third but Mourinho’s sides are known for their defensive resilience and will certainly provide a tough challenge.

Sevilla vs Roma Tips
Despite Roma’s manager Jose Mourinho being a master of European finals, history bodes well for Sevilla as nine of the previous 13 finals between Spanish and Italian sides have been won by the Spanish teams.
Mourinho will set up defensively looking to hit Sevilla on the counter but the Spanish side’s quality in the final third should give them an edge. They have won the Europa League/UEFA Cup six times, making them the most successful side in this competition.
Having played in six finals, they have won all six of them and that experience should help calm any nerves in the final. These two sides have met once in the Europa League quarter-finals in 2020 in a single legged game at a neutral venue and Sevilla ran out 2-0 winners in a game they dominated from start to finish.
Considering these factors, I am getting behind Sevilla on a “0.0 asian handicap” which offers us a full refund in case the game ends in a draw inside 90 minutes.
I expect a cagey game without many clear cut chances for either side. Mourinho will likely set up defensively looking to take the game as deep as possible and that will also limit Roma’s ability to create chances as shown by their second leg performance against Bayer Leverkusen where they created just 0.06xG over 90 minutes.
It is hard to see both sides open up too much so backing the “Under 1.0 goal line” selection for the higher odds pick makes sense and if either side clinches a one-goal win, our stakes will be refunded.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly
