Sevilla vs. Arsenal Betting Tips: Back Jesus to open the scoring in Spain
Arsenal travel to Andalusia to take on Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday and after an 11/4 winner on Sunday, Jimmy The Punt returns with his best bets.
The Gunners would have felt unlucky to be trailing after aCole Palmer converted a harsh penalty and then Mykhailo Mudryk miss-hit cross looped over a poorly positioned David Raya to double the Blues lead.
Mikel Arteta’s side headed back north with a share of the spoils after late goals from Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard ensured they remained unbeaten domestically.
Arsenal’s only defeat of the season came in round two of the Champions League and was a shock. The Gunners left Lens empty handed, a game they went off at 4/6 to win.
That defeat muddied the waters in Group B, putting the French side top and though Arsenal are still 4/6 to win the group, it puts extra importance on their trip to Seville.
Sevilla are yet to win in Europe, drawing in dramatic fashion against PSV Eindhoven, Diego Alonso’s side also drew against Lens. The hosts are developing a bit of a reputation as draw specialists, with honours shared even in five of their last seven games including the trip of Real Madrid on Saturday.
With no fresh injury concerns, Alonso could name an unchanged XI from the weekend. As for the visitors, Arteta faces a decision in between the sticks. Aaron Ramsdale missed out at the weekend due to the birth of his child. After another Raya blunder the Englishman could regain his spot here. Elsewhere, Jorginho is expected to drop out in the middle of the park. Whether he is replaced by Thomas Partey or Fabio Vieira remains to be seen.
Sevilla vs Arsenal Tips
Not a market I frequent too often but Arsenal live in the realms of fine margins on the road and without enough juice in the Unders price, I’d rather opt for a chunky first goalscorer bet.
Gabriel Jesus is a force to be reckoned with in Europe. He has scored 22 goals in this competition and the Europa League giving him a goals per 90 average of 0.78.
The Brazilian opened the scoring against Lens, doubling his UCL tally and trebling his overall total for the campaign.
It also meant the frontman extended his run in the Champions League to 13 goals in his last 16 appearances
It is ludicrous to tip a player that probably will not start to be booked and/ or sent off but that is what I am doing.
If you are tailing me, please do not back this until either; Eric Lamela is named in the starting XI (slim chance) or until he comes off the bench (less slim chance).
The thinking is simple; he's ex-Tottenham and he is a nuisance.
Despite only making nine appearances this season, the Argentinian has picked up four cards, three of which coming in his last three La Liga appearances. That is a card per 90 average of 0.73.
Last season, he picked up 16 yellows and was sent off once. It is also worth noting, he was sent for an early bath in his last North London derby appearance.
Best of luck if you are backing any of these selections and please remember to gamble responsibly.
