Sergio Aguero Next Club Odds

End of an era
Sergio Aguero will depart Manchester City upon the expiry of his contract this summer.
The 32-year-old has struggled with fitness and injuries this term, starting just nine games for the Cityzens in all competitions as they chase a record-breaking quadruple by winning the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League.
He signed for the club during the reconstruction era in 2011 and played a key role in their first ever Premier League title triumph, scoring one of the most memorable goals in top-flight history against QPR on the final day of the 2011-12 season.
Since then, Aguero has won a further three Premier League titles, one FA Cup and five League Cups with City, scoring a total of 257 goals in 384 appearances.
Where next?
His departure signals the end of a generation at City, but leaves the question: who will he sign for next?
Paddy Power have released odds on who the Argentine front man will sign for in the summer, and somewhat surprisingly it is Barcelona who head up the betting at 11/10. The Catalans have been lacking an out-and-out striker since Luis Suarez departed the Camp Nou for Atletico Madrid in August.
Ousmane Dembele, Antoine Griezmann and Lionel Messi share the goalscoring duties, with Martin Braithwaite often deployed from the bench.
However, while the latter is a valuable member of the squad, he is not a world class option suitable for a team of Barcelona’s calibre and the three aforementioned names are predominantly wide forwards/attacking midfielders as opposed to traditional strikers, leaving the door open to a player of Aguero’s stature, especially on a free transfer.
Real Madrid follow up in the market at 7/2 but with Karim Benzema still going strong it leaves debate open to how much Aguero would play for Los Blancos. Although, more of a bit-part role would possibly be welcomed by the South American considering his issues with injury in recent years.
Ligue 1 champions PSG are third-favourites at 5/1. Mauricio Pochettino knows Aguero all too well from his time spent in charge of Tottenham in the Premier League, and like Barcelona the Parisians are lacking a top quality asset up front since Edinson Cavani's exit, with their goal-supply coming from wide men Kylian Mbappe, Angel Di Maria and Neymar.
Aguero would undoubtedly flourish in the much-weakened French top-flight, with the guarantee of silverware each season certainly an attractive proposition.
You can get odds of 15/2 for Aguero to sign for any Argentine club this summer, or 12/1 for him to sign for any team in MLS. A move to any Chinese Super League outfit is 14/1.
However, aged 32, it is likely that the Premier League legend will probably want one or two final seasons in a top-rate European league before easing into retirement in his homeland, America or China.

City's next striker
With Aguero leaving, it opens up a spot for a new No. 9 at the Etihad. Erling Braut Haaland and Harry Kane are two names who have been mooted, with the Norwegian wonderkid priced at 2/1 for a move to Manchester in the summer.
Harry Kane is 4/1 to make the switch to the north-west in the betting, while Southampton's Danny Ings is 10/3 and Aguero's international compatriot, Lionel Messi, is 13/2.
Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku is 5/1 for a transfer to the rivals of his former club Manchester United, while you can get 20/1 for Kylian Mbappe to move to the Sky Blues before the start of next season.
