Royal Ascot Festival 2023 Day 4 Tips: A 25/1 shot in the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes Handicap

Day four of Royal Ascot has arrived and our horse racing specialist Izzy Phillips has her four selections for the day, starting with a pick in the Commonwealth Cup (3.05 PM).
15:05 Commonwealth Cup (Group 1) (British Champions Series)
Selection: Little Big Bear
I have to start by saying I love Little Big Bear - here’s why. We can discount his run in the Guineas as he didn’t enjoy the mile; he’s proven he loves a sprint and he’s won his races over 6f by some decent distances. He had a 7-length victory in the Group 1 Keeneland Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh. It is interesting to note that on that occasion he had Bradsell back in 4th; Bradsell’s gone on to frank the form at Royal Ascot this week winning The King’s Stand.
15:40 Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes Handicap
Selection: HMS President E/W
HMS President was a winner last time out at Newmarket and his last win before that was over 1m3f at Goodwood, on Good-Firm ground, so this looks to be right up his street. Alan King has a good record in this race having won on three previous occasions. He’s a good each-way chance.
16:20 Coronation Stakes (Fillies' Group 1) (British Champions Series)
Selection: Tahiyra
With Mawj out this really is Tahiyra’s for the taking. She’s beaten Meditate comfortably on two occasions and I see no reason why that form would reverse. She’s not a great tip because of her odds but there could be a little more value in a distance bet or a straight forecast with Meditate.
18:10 Palace Of Holyrood House Stakes Handicap
Selection: Radio Goo Goo E/W
She could really cement herself as the Queen here (pun very much intended). She’s shown the best of her form over 6f however 5f should be no concern. She’ll be going for a 5-timer so she’s certainly a horse in good order and I'm hopeful of a bold run.
