Romeo Lavia Next Club Odds: Where could the Southampton midfielder head in the transfer window?

Romeo Lavia's days at Southampton look to be numbered as the Belgian international is set to leave St Mary's in light of the Saints relegation from the Premier League.
Here at BettingOdds.com, we take a look at a few of the clubs that are reportedly set to fight it out for the 19-year-old, who is valued at £40m+.
Arsenal
Nowhere to be seen in the betting previously, Arsenal burst into the mix as the favourites in mid-June following reports that the Gunners had made Lavia one of their new summer targets.
Arsenal continue to be linked with both Declan Rice and Moisés Caicedo, but neither deal looks close to completion just yet.
Lavia, 19, is widely considered as a top young talent who impressed at Southampton last season, despite their relegation. A switch to a club likely to be challenging for the title would be a significant step up but the Belgian would no doubt relish the opportunity.
Liverpool
Failure to reach the Champions League having finished fifth in the Premier League means Liverpool will need to bolster the ranks at Anfield and a young, emerging midfielder like Lavia could be a perfect fit for the Merseysiders.
Jurgen Klopp's men were previously 10/1 to claim his signature, a price which was slashed to 13/8 on 26th June after Transfer Guru Fabrizio Romano tweeted that the Reds had entered the party.
A spell of transition appears to be happening at Liverpool with some notable squad members including James Milner and Roberto Firmino leaving the club. They look a side in need of a notable shake-up and at times last season they lacked the legs in the middle of the park, so Lavia's arrival would certainly improve them, so certainly keep an eye on a switch from the south coast to Merseyside.
Chelsea
Mauricio Pochettino's arrival at Chelsea is sure to see significant ins and outs at Stamford Bridge over the coming months before the transfer window shuts.
The Blues were the 5/2 market leaders to win the race for Romeo Lavia, odds which have drifted to 6/1 following interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.
With seemingly unlimited funds to spend, Chelsea will be flashing the cheque book a lot during the summer as they attempt to improve on an abysmal season last campaign. With N'Golo Kante set for a switch to Saudi Arabia, there could well be an opening for Lavia.
Enzo Fernandez is a key part of Chelsea's midfield engine room and Pochettino could be one of many managers looking to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United, but Lavia could be a more attractive signing at less than half of the price of Rice, and at only 19 years old he could be an ideal fit for Chelsea, who will be eager to get back into European competition next season.
Newcastle United
Newcastle United will be linked with a plethora of transfers over the summer and with the club playing Champions League football next season then Eddie Howe will need to add some quality to a squad that arguably over-achieved last season.
The Magpies have a decent wad of money to spend in the transfer window and Lavia could be an option.
A 7/1 chance at the moment, Lavia will certainly be attracted by the lure of Champions League football and has to relish the switch to the north east, but would Howe and his staff opt for a more experienced option to add to their ranks ahead of a European campaign?
PSG
Next in the betting you'll find PSG at 17/2
A big summer of change is on the cards at PSG, who have already lost Lionel Messi, with Neymar expected to depart too, while the future of Kylian Mbappé appears to be up in the air.
Another new manager could be set for Paris too; Luis Enrique is the latest name on the rumour mill.
There have been no concrete reports linking Lavia with a switch to France's capital but his move from 25/1 to 17/2 means this is well worth keeping an eye on.
Man Utd
Erik ten Hag has brought a new positivity to Old Trafford and having landed the Carabao Cup last season he will be looking to push on from that effort and look to unleash a challenge for Premier League glory.
That's certainly a big assignment with the dominant Man City sure to be tough to beat, but ten Hag will be desperate to bring in the players. The unknown is how much money he will have to spend?
Available at 10/1 to sign Lavia, United are short in the midfield ranks with the likes of Fred and Scott McTominay not appearing ten Hag's type of player, so Lavia's arrival could bring some legs to the midfield and it would be a good signing for both parties.
The price change comes after Fabrizio Romano revealed that - likely seemingly every top Premier League club - Man Utd are "monitoring the situation but not in active talks yet".
Man City
Pep Guardiola is certainly a fan of Romeo Lavia as the Spaniard signed the teenager from Anderlecht back in 2020, but Lavia was unable to break into the first team at Manchester City and was subsequently sold to Southampton on a five-year contract.
Despite storming to Premier League glory, Guardiola is always looking to improve his squad and with Lavia showing he can deliver at the highest level last season then could he make a swift return to the Etihad Stadium.
Available at 16/1, at the time of writing, Lavia is sure to be one of many targets on the list of possible transfers for Manchester City, but would the player want to return to a club he failed to break into the starting line-up as game time will be paramount for him during the 2023/2024 season.
