We at BettingOdds.com have conducted a study into every current Premier League club’s total player sales in the last five years and how much every player sold is worth now in the current market.

Our research has found that Arsenal have sold £411.44m worth of talent for £228.83m since the beginning of the 2016/17 season onwards, resulting in the missed potential of an additional £182.61m in player sales.

No other Premier League club has lost out on a higher potential transfer income over the same period than the Gunners.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, who is now valued at £108m, was sold by Chelsea for £94.5m below his current worth at just £13.5m to AS Roma in 2016, resulting in this sale being the most unsuccessful from a value standpoint by any current Premier League club.

We have broken down the results of the study into the following three categories:

  • The margin between how much every current Premier League club has accumulated in player sales in the last 5 years to the current accumulated value of all players sold
  • Every Premier League club's most unsuccessful transaction of a player sold in the last five years compared to their current value
  • Every Premier League club's most successful transaction of a player sold in the last five years compared to their current value

All of the figures we have used to conduct this research have come from Transfermarkt.com.
